Sometimes a huge favorite, like Big Brown, will actually pay more to place and show than it will to win, when it wins.
Sometimes you'll see a payout like, $2.10 to win, $2.20 to place and $2.10 to show. |

I bet against Big Brown 2 weeks ago. That was a mistake. I'm not betting this race today.
If BB loses, he's not going to run in the Belmont. I don't think he'll lose, but the price is too low, and the rest of the field looks pretty close.
I think anything can come 2,3,4. |
