Question: Is this a Bubba Forum or a place for senile old ladies to go and bitch about every gawd damn thing?
Seriously. Some of you sound like a group of old hags at the nursing home who have a bitch about everything -- from the grass being green, the sky being blue, and your oatmeal being too cold. If you don't like the show - don't listen to it. There are 100's of channels on Sirius you can listen to and complain about.
The fact that people take shots at the guy's wives is reprehensible...shows me that people lack any sense of class & have 0 respect for the guys on the show. Hatley, trust me, would throw a right cross off your dome if he ever saw you in person - for trashing his wife. Honestly, the people who take shots at Heather, Donna, Amanda, probably are the same guys who stroke their poles to Heather's pictures in the basement room they have as 30+ year olds living at their parents house either jobless or delivering newspapers. And if you want to take squats on the guys talking about their kids -- I hope to christ you never reproduce. You don't deserve to be a parent.
Whether you realize it or not - the guys go above and beyond for the fans. I think some of you take it for granted. Bubba is far from Bubba O'Reilly when it comes to promoting merchandise & Bubba-Palooza. Bitching about Bubba-Palooza in itself is sh*tty seeing as part of the reasoning behind doing the shows is to get together with fans of the show from all regions of the country. Not many people I think of that do what they can to bring themselves to the fans across the country, do meet/greets, & make themselves readily accessible to the fans. Again, some of you don't know how good you have it.
That's just my take. Support it, take a sh*t on it.....whatever....again - if you don't like the show find Bob & Tom on the internet or listen to your local Billy-Bob & Timmy Piss Pants FM show --- listen to their crap show and bitch about how they do things. otherwise, shut up, enjoy the show, and give some respect to a crew of guys who are busting their asses to entertain & interact with their fans.... |

I thought that Bubba and the Ferret have maintained and discussed on-air that the point of the Bubbapalooza's is to make money. Yes, it is a great opportunity to meet the fans and be the great guys they are, but the goal is to make money. The whole reason they are having trouble with a California show is that the production costs cut in to the profit to the point where Bubba won't do it.
This isn't a bitch just a clarification. I will be at the Bubbapalooza in AC and am looking forward to it. Just setting things straight. |

| My thoughts on the forum such as this are simple. Forums like this are opened for comments about the show alot of good and then of course you are alway going to get some negative comments. But they should be in the form of creative criticism. The personal bashings are uncalled for. For sure though you cannot expect noting but praise or you well be acting like Etm and how he runs his site. Anything negative and he flat out boots ya. In a forum like this, you have to eat a little dirt. |

First things first. I have a Bachelor's Degree, I hold a full time job, I have a wife and two great kids. So paragraph two doesn't really apply to me. I agree that name calling of the guys wives is out of line. I don't think one or two dick heads, who have probably had their accounts deaded should qualify as an entire board calling the guys wives names...because most us don't do that.
That being said, I don't think its out of line to say something like, "That segment was good because of..." I always thought Bubba and the guys had a thicker skin than they do. Saying I didn't like a segment or I didn't like this aspect of the show isn't necessarily bashing the show. If they don't like seeing or can't handle seeing criticism then they should reconsider viewing the internet boards. I mean how can you have a meaningful board if its 100% positive. Nobody is going to like 100% of anything unless you're Joe the Super Mark. It doesn't mean we hate the show or we're being dicks, it just means I didn't like that one aspect of the show.
The last issue about Bubbapalooza, people have every right to say if they did or didn't like it. Come on man grow up. The guys do Bubbapalooza to make money. Why do you think that they don't go to cities that they can't make a good enough profit? By the way there is nothing wrong with that. Bubba and crew work their asses off and make themselves very available to the fans from what everyone says, but come on the #1 priority is to make money as it should be.
I get the sentiment of what you're saying, but sometimes a segment does suck. No matter what the show, and when it does I hit the fast forward on my Stilletto. Not a big deal, and I'll continue to listen and be a fan, but that doesn't mean blind loyalty. |

Nothing wrong with being critical of the show. At the end of the day we are fans who are paying a subscription. I see it no different then being a fan and buying tickets to watch your favorite sports team play. Of course, if your a Detroit Lions fan, say a season ticket holder, your going to go ape shit crazy that your team SUCKS and Matt Millen couldn't run a lemonaide stand let along an NFL Franchise. You as a fan, paying to see this team, have a right to be critical when things are going bad. You have that right. Same here with the show. You have a right to voice an opinion on what you like, don't like, etc...
However, there is a way to voice your opinion without being a jackass like killa-bud. When you start talking about people's wives, people's kids - you cross the line. Busting Bubba's balls for misprouncing words or joking about his pants being able to serve as a tent for a small family are one thing. Call his wife a whore & knocking on how she looks are an unacceptable other. There is no place for it, anywhere.
There are things that I hate about the show. I turn Nascar talk off everytime I hear it because I'm not a fan of Nascar. I turn Dr. Mark off everytime he comes on. The point is not everything is going to appeal to everybody. But the show itself is diverse enough that trust me, most people will find a segment they enjoy out of each show.
I think it's forgetten sometimes you are dealing with real people, with real lives, real families, etc. When you go over the line - and start going after a man's family -- you don't deserve to call yourself a fan & honestly deserve an ass kicking. And I've met Hatley, and I will tell you -- HE WILL BLAST YOU....
Just my rant. Whether or not the show was from last week, 2007, or whenever is irrelevent -- as this sort of stuff still gets said (see killa-bud)....Enjoy the holiday weekend and do yourself a favor and put yourselves over! |
