They're the scum of the Earth. How many are up for re-election? Hope they all get handed their walking papers. Remember when the republicans labeled Max Cleland as unpatriotic? |

| There are more than 12 bills to revise the GI Bill, all are improvements to the current bill. Obviously the drive-by media has convinced the liberal sheep there is one to help GI's, and everyone else wants to fuck em. |

"I take a backseat to no one in my affection, respect and devotion to veterans," McCain said. "And I will not accept from Senator Obama, who did not feel it was his responsibility to serve our country in uniform, any lectures on my regard for those who did."
"It is typical, but no less offensive, that Senator Obama uses the Senate floor to take cheap shots at an opponent and easy advantage of an issue he has less than zero understanding of," McCain said.
?
What was Obama doing while McCain was a POW? Smoking crack in New York. |

You are what Lenin termed a "useful idiot". You pop up again and again like a vile little piece of shit that just won't flush and spew you're baseless talking points. If our great nation is to ever recover from the damage done to it by our current administration and its destructive policies you so embarrasingly cheerlead for, it will be in spite of willfully ignorant dullards like you. You dare insult someone with clearly more intelligence then your pea brain about his "bashing" of the troops, but yet you vehemently don't want our soldiers to receive a full college education?
Neo-fascism at it's finest....don't let felons vote because felons don't vote Republican, and won't let troops get an education because smart people don't fall for your bullshit either.

Why do you disagree with a veto-proof majority of Senators?
What is so wrong with treating our men and women like our troops during WWII?
Last time I checked these are volunteers, risking their lives for both of us, in a war that's lasted longer then WWII. I'm not comparing wars, simply their dedication.
Wouldn't it be more cost efficient TO HAVE NOT FUCKING GONE TO IRAQ?!?!?!
Why is billions wasted for Haliburton and Blackwater ok, but a 100K worth of education is just, way way way way way way too much. |

I believe we should increase the GI Bill benefits. But not to over $100K for 3 years service. Anyone in Iraq or Afghanistan has had an opportunity to leave the service since this war began, instead they volunteered to go there and they should be taken care of. The question is to what degree. Do you give this benefit to a serviceman/woman that works in the library at Wright Pat for their entire tour?
And remember we had a draft in WW2...totally different circumstance having your life being disrupted to fight in a war and someone who walks in and volunteers to join. |

Well, it's too late to talk nuance. The bill has 75 Senators supporting it. It's going to happen. Bush's veto means nothing. He's just being embarrassed as someone who truly doesn't support the troops. |

oops.....
The House Thursday did pass a Democratic plan to sharply boost education benefits for Iraq-Afghanistan veterans and to award people whose unemployment benefits have expired with a 13-week extension.
The 266-166 fell short of the two-thirds needed to overcome a promised veto by President Bush.

He's my Senator, i never voted for him, and never will, but I will never disparage his or any other man or woman's service in combat, the fact that you do merely diminishes anything you can ever post in the future, or have posted in the past.
The Vietnam War was a useless, waste of time, money resources, and human lives, who better but someone who fought there to say so. |
