This is what your missing moron: Barack Obama is genuinely reasonable person and he'll bring back accountability.
Rather have those in my President then some "cowboy" from Connecticut who's abused the Constitution like a 16 year old Mormon.
Cowboys...Mavericks...it's about fucking time we stop having Old West style Washington.

Frankly, yes.
Many of Obama’s policies are contrary to the politics of Libertarianism.
But, speaking as an American first and a Libertarian second, I have made these observations:
John McCain can not be allowed to win the White House. After Bush, we can not survive so similar a successor. Our economy, the effectiveness of our military and our global respect will be destroyed.
Barack Obama is, simply, the only candidate intelligent enough to do the job. Barack Obama will provide the necessary political bounce for this country. He will lead with a more tolerant spirit. More willing to take time for investigation instead of rash, emotional quick decisions.
Finally, I am having serious concerns as to whether Americans can handle real Libertarianism right now. For Libertarianism to work, an intelligent and tolerant society must be present. As a society, Americans are not intelligent enough nor tolerant enough.
Americans, as a society, are too easily led around by their noses. Libertarianism requires independently minded people.
America is not yet ready for so bold a political shift.

It really has nothing to do with intelligence, it's dependence. Most American's are too dependant on the State and Federal Govt. ..... and it's only getting worse. Libertarianism is kinda like the wankel engine. Should be in a museum.

Possibly.
I believe Obama understands that the people have to be happy and comfortable and they will support a leader who provides that comfort.
That's been the problem with modern right-wingers. Bush and pals give you lip service about responsibility and hard work but they provide no incentives for it. Things keep getting worse and frustration and anxiety set in. They obviously look down on the public. VP Cheney always appears to have very obvious disdain for the American public.
McCain is too old and hateful to rally any support. He'll get those who are faithful to the Republican Party but he'll no longer be able to reach anyone but the hard liners.
Truly, this year, Obama is our ONLY hope.
