Where's VTW to tell me about how great Bush's economy was for us?

The City of Vallejo (California) is considering filing for bankruptcy TODAY!

Although they have a few 'bail out' proposals on the table, the Channel 2 news (I believe it's our FOX affiliate) reported just now that the City of Vallejo still has plans on filing for bankruptcy today.

HAHAHAHA Bush economics..... It just doesn't work no matter how you slice it.

Really interesting. It was a sleepy-ish town up to the 80's and then the surrounding areas
exploaded when tech companies came in. Not much there, no offense. Went to school near there.

I tremendously dislike Bush; but you can't place all of the blame on him for this mess. The elected officials have to bear some of the blame.

But it's going to be real painful for those citizens for the next couple of years.

There's a very good chance that the surround municipalities will absorb the social services, police
& fire will get brokered out. The City Of Inglewood is out of money in So Cal and has already
started to broker out their services. That city is so broke they can't afford to pay meter maids to
get the coins out of the machines. No joke.

I forgot, does anyone know what happens to any muni-bonds issued by a city that goes bankrupt?
Is there a guarantor?

What, they didn't hire enough illegal Mexican aliens or something?
