| Ok...i an not really into the whole uber patriotic...have the biggest flag on the street....and a hundred or so shirts with the logo these colors dont run and stuff.....but watching the beginning of the indy yesterday...during taps and the star spangeled banner and the whole thing...Danaca had her iopd in both ears bobbibg her head to some fast tempoed music....i had it on dvr and played it back several times...for some reason i got angry about it!!! someone like her to disrespect the honors being paid to our vets is sick...Yes she is hot...but did anyone else see it that way?? |

I didn't see her in the opening but the "earplugs" that race car drivers are actually their speakers for their in car radios also. Some are custom molded and some are as generic looking as ear plugs.But they are speakers. Could be mistaken for ear phones for an I pod.

Its proper ediquette for women to wear hats during the Star Spangled Banner as well as indoors. Mrs. Harvick is doing nothing wrong.

But in relation to the main thread topic, I can recall a Mike Tyson fight in the late 80's when the National Anthem is playing he is bouncing around the ring and shadow boxing like crazy the whole time. I thought it was a little strange since his oponent was standing still, but that guy got KO'd pretty quick anyway. So I figure when you're about to compete in an intense environment do what you need to. |

| yeah can't drive. 1 win in about 5 years or so isn't so great for as HYPED as she is. the media just goes apeshit over her like she is the 2nd coming because she is a woman. Tony Kanaan, Marco Andretti, and Dario Franchiti drove the same exact cars prepared by the same people and won like 8 races between them last year to her zero... and running out of gas is the crew chief's fault, not so much the driver. the chief decides how much fuel goes in and when to pit. |

1. The CocaCola 600 is held during primetime coverage on a Sunday night. More people are home to see it.
2. IndyCar is televised all over the planet. unlike Neckcar that can only get viewers inside the USA, and a few in Canada and Mexico. So if you counted total audience around the globe IndyCar pulls bigger numbers. Especially since Europe gets treated to a double header with the Monaco GP at 2pm GMT and the Indy 500 on at prime time.
3. How many people attended the Coca-Cola 600 175,000, or Daytona 185,000? Compare that to the 325,000-350,000 that made it to Indy this year. Man that is almost double Daytona. You would think Nascar's crown Jewel would have better attendance. |
