You heard the New Fridays, what's the reaction?
MERGER
- The FCC says the merger may go thru by the end of next month (LINK)
- The merger delay is hurting both companies but XM seems to be struggling.
- The daily news reports that NFL, NASCAR, NBL, Oprah, and most other big shows on the 2 platforms are loss leaders, that is except for Howard Stern of course. (LINK)

CALLING INTO THE SHOW: When calling into the show, there's no need to give shout outs to SFN or your friends on SFN. We don't have a ton of time so please don't waste any of it. We already have topics setup. Please be a good caller and respond to the topics. Thanks 1-888-STERN-101
GETTING ON THE SHOW: Each week I start a roundtable brainstorming thread where the fans help build our topics and a listening thread where people discuss the show while it's happening. if you'd like to do the show, get in there and participate. Once you've been around for awhile and see how the show works, ask to be on and pick a open date. The schedule can be found here. We have 4 people on each show and I try to make at least one of them a brand new person who's never been on. You can make your requests here in the Super Fan Roundtable forum or you can email them here.
GUESTS OF THE SHOW: The show airs from the Sirius studios in NYC Times Square. It's on the 36th floor of the McGraw Hill building on the corner of 49th & 6th in studio 21. (Google MAP) Guests should be there at 6PM so we can do mic checks. The show goes live at 7PM. You can not bring any friends. our studio is very small and there's really no place for them. I'll need your full name in advance and you need to bring your ID for security. If I don't put you on the list and you don't have your ID, you will not be able to get in.
This is an office and you are expected to be on your best behavior. It's not some free for all party. You shouldn't do anything that you would do when stopping by the bank. You cannot bring alcohol, take off your clothes, make noise, or bother people. I know you are a Stern fan but we're not out at the bar. You need to be cool. Don't stop them and ask for an autograph or photo. Everytime one of you misbehaves, I get a new rule to follow.
You CAN NOT walk around Sirius. You will be escorted from the upstairs lobby to the studio and back out. Do not take it upon yourself to just walk around & check things out. Nobody is allowed to stop by other shows. DO NOT stop by Ferrall's studio under any circumstances even if you think it's OK. I've been told by management that it's not. If you'd like to be a guest on Ferrall, they need to put you on their guest list.
You may take photos in the studio but please do not take pictures in the halls or lobby.
DO NOT sign the wall.
All plugs must be approved in advance. If you are going to be on the show and you have something to plug, you need to let me know the day before. ANYONE WHO PLUGS A WEBSITE OR BUSINESS WITHOUT PERMISSION WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK. |

Sounds great! Anytime Gottfried is on Howard, the show rocks! Sounds like there will be a lot to discuss this week.... and an extra 10 to 15 minutes for Round Table... That's gonna be fun too. I think we'll need the extra time... HAHA! |

You can spend a whole hour on talking about how retarded it is for making "Eric From Hoboken" an SFN V.I.P. and how sycophantic assholes are now synergistically turning the entire Howard Stern world (on and off the air) into one big pile of "revolution" bullshit.

based on why i make people a VIP, give me 1 reason he doesn't fit the mold. so many of you are obsessed about bitching about him. this makes him a regular caller that people recognize. as a know name on the show, he needs to be VIP so everyone else knows it's really him and noit just some tools mult. |

they are both VIP. regular caller is a vip. I just hadn't set EFH's title. if you look at the memberlist page, they are both under the VIP category. it's got nothing to do with what the title says |

As for discussion ideas, how about a SFRT show on Fridays complete with lots of fan calls. Basically your show pumped up a bit with guests from the show like Sal or whoever. |

How bout an entire segment about how Dracula Gottfried really isn't that funny, and that had it been hosted by anyone else, it would have been much more tolerable. Plus listeners would probably tune in more often to hear repeats of something if there wasn't a lame shtick interrupting.
I like Gilbert, but the Dracula shit just isn't funny. |

| for one am a regular caller and i just breezed through quite a few posts that completly trashed Erik from Hoboken did you ever think that maybe he really does enjoy HTV. I was on praising the Artie fight and said to get HTV and if you didnt like it I would refund your money. I haven't seen one yet about me calling in I am also the OTHER guy who imitates Ferrall and still nothing so do you guys just hate Erik that much and like my impression as much as Howard and the Gang? Please write and let me know what you think. |

Gilbert is funny enough as it is, he TOTALLY doesn't need that dracula impression.
"Gilbert Gottfried does a Dracula impression" That sounds HILARIOUS down on paper. I mean, it sounds pretty funny for a few lines or a few jokes.. Now and then. It's not funny for hours straight in intervals. It's just not funny at all.
JD would be funny.
Maybe the alive wack-packers themselves could have just done some intros? |

It's good to go back and hear the first time Howard met each Wack Packer... some great stuff there... As for Gottfried - I think it's best when he just sits in on the show and comments or laughs about every little thing especially when Robin does the news and he constantly does his black impression... Dracula Gottfried is good but he does better bits...
AS for the whole SFN VIP/Regular Caller status thing... and how annoying I am to people on SFN... Listen man... If we never knew each other and saw each other on the street and let's say we both had some reference to Stern on, like maybe a T-shirt or a cap or whatever. (we both knew we were stern fans), we would probably give each other some sort of nod of the head acknowledging our common bond... But Just because you don't like the content of my calls and the fact that I do call and do get on you feel the need to pounce on me.... Maybe I just don't get this whole end of the "Fan base" and how to conduct myself on SFN. Don't get me wrong - I understand that this is what goes on here... I heard there was some shit being said about me and thought it was quite amusing that people would even take the time. So I was interested in reading SFN... But when I saw the posts about Howard scamming his fans by planting EFH as a paid shill for HTV that's when I jumped in...Obviously the ball-busting doesn't go both ways... Some can dish it out but when I dish it back it's all about me being a complete douche. OK?
I think there will be much more interesting things to talk about on SFRT tonight than EFH and his "Status" on SFN... Or the fact that people piss & wine when Mutt does something he feels is he should in keeping the integrity of his site..
I’m embarrassed to say, as a 22 plus year diehard Stern fan - this (SFN world) is all very new and VERY interesting to me….
