Well I knew it as coming, my SL100 has started to give me trouble. I can't figure if it's the Lithium battery or the home dock. Good thing I got the extended service plan from Best Buy. This satellite radio experiment is getting quite costly and between the headaches with the S50 and now the SL100 I am hopeful that Howard retires in 2 years and Bubba signs exclusively on terrestrial radio. Maybe I would have a different attitude if the Sirius products would withstand the test of time and the company wouldn't discontinue the radio accessories such as replacement batteries and home docks. I am off to Best Buy tommorrow to see if I can get it replaced, if not I guess I'll head over to TSS-Radio.com

Couldn't agree more. I'm sick of the faulty signals and crappy reception. These pieces of shit are too expensive to have problems working. Hell, my portable antenna headset only gets two bars of strength.

My S100 just was replaced by Circuit City's extended warranty. Walked in, Came out with a new Stiletto 2 - Gotta love those extended warrantee's for the Sirius Stuff. My original S50 is holding on in my wife's car, but I don't hold much hope for it. The wheel is alread not working and you can only control it with the remote.

My S100 Battery's basically exploaded. Puffed up and broke the plastic case.

I was leaning twoard a lifetime subscription in the begining, but it being tied to a limited number of radios scared me off. Glad it did.

Over the past years Howard has been on Sirius I've spent over $600 on hardware, at one time had 3 subscriptions. Now down to 2 and shortly one if that ( the reception of my stiletto sucks too). Love the programing but enough is enough.

Put it in my wife's truck and the FM tuner/interception really sucks. Mounted about 15" below the radio location. Any suggestions on how to improve it?

I bought an fm modulator for mine as it sucked too and the modulator brings it right in and i also bought a monster antennae and never have a problem with reception..

the funny thing I noticed is when I go under an overpass, I lose reception for a split second, but when I go into a tunnel, I have reception for a 1/4 of the way into it..

I've had this radio for 2 1/2 years. Only problem was the "category" button fell off after a couple of months. Didn't matter, I never used that button anyway. I move it between my house and car all the time.

I bought it for $39.99 at Walmart. With Sirius radios, it seems to me the cheaper ones last the longest

A quote from a sirius tech person:

"The S50 and Stillettos are not built to last more than 2 years"

She actually went into detail about this, and then gave me a free Sportster 4...

My Sirius Streamer, that I paid 19.99 is still going strong...Both my S50s crapped out after 2 years...

Don't waste your money on high end radios...

I have an XM over 5 years old, paid 40 bucks for it...Works like a champ...

If you want to record shows, pipe your cheap radio into your computer's sound card, and spend 20 bucks on Total Recorder...

wtf? I 've never had any of my Sirius radios die on me. What are you guys doing to them?
