With the recent lack of performance lately do we think HTV is getting real lazy?? I was very pissed when they didnt air the Charlie Murphy interview and now the Artie sleeping one from Thursday is not there?? On top of that they only air 1 show (Carly Simon) for us for the 3 day weekend WTF??????
They also need to add a new shows feature so I dont have to go through every single topic to find new shows!!! |

| I'm sure i can speak for everyone when i say , Howard TV is repeating too much stuff all the time, i pay 15 bucks a month and see the same shit from 2 month prior, i know they have the category called "Fan Favorites" but i just saw ther playing justine jolie again for the 3 time and some other chick stuff , i know , i know the chick stuff is great but get some new meat in there. Enough with Eric the midget and beetlejuice, who cares, boring shit!, repeating Artie attacks Teddy again, yeah we have all seen it, enough already. They need to get better celebrities on , more hot NEW porn stars and more musical guests. All i'm saying is that they repeat a lot that isn't necessarily a Fan Favorite, when i email them and request something there answer is "that was already played" meanwhile there playing repeated stuff anyway. I'm sounding reduntent whatever. hope they fix something? |

Yeah, I've been getting it for over a year now and at first it was great just because I missed the E! show so much so this was better than nothing. After a few months the novelty wore off and I really started to notice the flaws in the programming. Now I barely even watch it and if I weren't getting it for free it would have long since been cancelled.
The E! show even with all the censorship, was ten times better. |

The laziness of Howard TV has never been more on display than this month, all you need to do is watch this month preview. Other than the Daily Shows and some more Kenneth Keith garbage everything else that'll air is a repeat.
If it weren't for my brother I would've canceled this garbage a long time ago. |

Not that I'm defending HTV, because I'm as frustrated as everyone else, but this problem you site is more likely your cable company releasing shows out of order than HTV. Only reason I say that, is because mine came in order. If HTV had been doing it wrong, I would think everyone would have had the same problem. Since we didn't, my guess is that it's something more local. |

Mine came through in order as well but Howard did have the two finalists for Bowling Beauties on the air when the final episode had only barely been released a few hours earlier at midnight that starts off with the final four contestants. Not that many were watching but rendering the first part of the episode pointless...more pointless. |
|
|
| Stlstg |
| Ya, that was pretty stupid. He spent all that time hyping it up, and then rendered half the final show worthless. Not that the hype mattered either way though I guess. Was stupid all the way around. |

If someone there needs fresh ideas, how 'bout some of our suggestions? Here's mine: A new category (similar to the Best of the Week) containing roughly the first hour & 15 minutes of each show... from Howard's morning greeting to the first commercial break. I love listening to the early, guest-free banter.
I don't watch the Best Of b/c that material is usually covered in the Daily Show bits. Because of this, why not just dump Best of the Week and replace it with the first 75+ morning minutes of each day's shows? Call it "Good mornin' ev'rybody!"... the way Howard used to begin every show. |

| My hat goes off to the Howard TV people for having the easiest fucking job on the planet. Imagine getting paid to fuck around in the office all day and not having to be productive in any way, shape, or form. It really is brilliant how you guys manage to pull this off year after year without losing your jobs. It is like the Peter Principle completely realized. You know, where people are promoted beyond their level of competence and then stay in the position. There really aren't any viable excuses at this point. |

I don't have that. Although they did take down the Bowling Hookers section recently. |

I totally agree with everything you say here. It's really a poorly produced operation. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think Howard cares as much about the product he puts out as he once did. |

| I've been thinking about canceling for a long time, but there will be one or two interesting daily shows that keep me hanging on. Still, I'm sick of shelling out the monthly bucks not only for HTV but for the digital upgrade I had to make to get it. What has me steamed is that the favorite guests list is miserably short - the main reason I got it was to see all those uncut E! shows I missed over the years. There better be some major changes soon or I suspect a lot of us are going to bow out. |

I finally canceled HowardTV after thinking it over for a couple of months. There were fewer and fewer shows that seemed original, interesting and funny. There were fewer and fewer celebrity interviews (seems like celebrities do not want to do the show anymore). Artie looks like a depressed, sad and obese version of former self. There is very little original material. I used to be a huge fan of the Howard Stern show on the radio. But, unfortunately, the creativity is not there anymore. C and D-level celebrities get royal treatment. B-level celebrities don't even want to come to the studio and just call in. Howard said of the last Rambo movie while interviewing Stallone that it was the best Rambo of all - I think 99.9% of those who saw the movie could honestly say that... That's not the Howard Stern we knew who was brutally honest even with the powerful and famous.
But even from TV show perspective, the E! show was much better produced. The episodes were short and really contained the best parts of the respective shows. So, it never felt too long. Now, they want to show everything that makes the show pretty boring. I found myself fast-forwarding through the slower parts.
I wish the show - on both radio and TV - got better so I could once again rediscover it and enjoy it. |

| Unfortunately with a new service there are always risks. E! was able to afford the best of everything, so therefore you're going to get a great product. You have to respect Howard for taking the risk, putting his entire career, lively-hood, reputation, and life on the line with a new, untested form of media. Nothing is ever going to be perfect the first time around. There are new challenges that come along with new freedom. Those who believe in what Howard is doing will stick around and see him master it just like he has everything else he's put his name to. |

While I hate to disagree with such a stunningly beautiful woman such as yourself, this is hardly a new venture. HTV is almost 3 years old and has truely failed to deliver on its promise. I've been a subscriber since it was introduced and I have contemplated cancelling it many, many times but haven't. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've scrolled through the menu of available programs and felt very disappointed. This is coming from someone who listens to virtually every second of the radio show since they joined Sirius. The only real reason I keep it is to see the visuals for hot girls like you they have in the studio. IMO, the E! show was a much better product, due mostly to the editing out of boring parts which for some reason HTV doesn't feel necessary. Another major problem is missing content, but I won't get into that nightmare.
BTW - did I mention how hot you are...oh yeah, there it is in the opening sentence. |

So the fact that they're even still here at all is a testament to the work that they are doing... and they are doing it all themselves. It's difficult to form a superior product straight out of the gate while also going up against so many people who don't believe in your product. |

| That is the whole problem...we are paying for the technical and organizational shortcomings of a new form of technology and it totally fucking sucks for us. We are paying top dollar for content that is usually slow at coming down the pipe...and then there are the outages experienced by numerous users with several different providers. The customers are paying to get screwed over and over again. HTV is (at least) half reruns and that doesn't help the matters. This entire thing needs an overhaul if they expect it to last. So far the customer base has been pretty vocal about the level of their dissatisfaction. |

They should just play this every day, all year round. They'll be right 99% of the time. |

Thomas Edison had how many failed attempts at the light bulb before he got one that worked?? The driving force behind this programing is the fan base. The people that encourage to "Never give up". Every successful business man has gone bankrupt at lest once in their career. It's never ALWAYS going to be a home run. So... support Howard and what he's trying to do, or don't. That's your call. |

VOD has been around for years and years.
To equate specific problems with HOD that people have had that CAN be easily fixable (with effort from competent people) with Edison trying to invent the light bulb is hilarious! |

Do yourself a favor...next time you try to sound intelligent, do some fucking research on the subject that you are discussing. Edison did not INVENT the lightbulb. He took other ideas, patented and unpatented by other and reworked it so that he had claim on a working patent that could be mass distributed to help promote ConEdison. To perpetuate that he kept on trying to come up with the lightbulb when the thing already existed makes you seem as if you still believe the elementary school version of what really happened.
To suggest that we should continue to support something that is failing to provide what they advertise is ridiculous. Edison would buy and steal patents and get his products to actually WORK before bringing them to market and that was his real genius. HTV is flawed from the end of the content providers and then the system meant to distribute it. It is totally fucked up and we, the customers are paying the brunt of their folly.
I don't give a shit if you were on the show or not, but that doesn't give you the right to even pretend to think that you know something about which you are so blatantly and obviously poorly informed. |

| I really don't have problems with my Howard TV but I do wish they would put on longer segments, I love the 60 minutes segments even if it's about absolutely nothing important, like you guys I like the banter and they should just air the first hour of the show unedited on HTV because I don't care if it's specific stuff, I just like to hear the gang talk to each other. |
