When the Obama logo and presidential seal collide

The Obama campaign debuted a new logo Friday that bears a striking resemblance to the presidential seal. Photo credit: AP, White House.
CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) – Presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama sat down in Chicago Friday morning to discuss the economy with visiting Democratic governors, but all eyes were on the Illinois senator’s podium bearing, what might be described as, a quasi-presidential seal – a new Obama campaign logo.
The seal includes the same bald eagle as the actual presidential seal clutching an olive branch and arrows in its talons, but instead of a shield covering the center of the eagle’s body, the Obama version displays the campaign’s trademark “O.” Unlike the Presidential seal, which includes the words “Seal of the President of the United States” around the circumference, “Obama for America” and “www.barackobama.com” grace the top and bottom of Obama's.
Finally, just above the eagle, in Latin, are the words – “vero possumus” – which translates to “yes we can,” the oft-heard chant at Obama rallies.
It remains to be seen how the new seal will play in the campaign’s quest to win over working-class voters.

And in two of those cases, the Republican was at least the president at the time and the third one has to do with the Senate.

I was outraged when Bush made a little "joke" about looking for WMD's under the desk and behind the couch, etc. You wonder about the mindset of our leaders.
We are thankful that Bush will be out in a few months.

That seal is just one more in a long line of shit that makes it crystal clear to me that Obama is a puppet and does whatever David Axlerod directs him to do.
Its pretty much the same situation we had with Rove and Bush...we have a know nothing guy who looks alright in a suit on stage blathering about nothing to a nation full of dumbasses who slurp it up with a straw while his strings are being pulled by some pasty faced white guy. |

Also, I don't think you morons can figure out that this is an ad. It's a FUCKING LOGO. He doesn't want to change the seal to say his name. He didnt sit at a table all night drinking coffee and doing this logo up in illustrator. His wonderful design team made it for him, he probably didn't think twice about it, doesn't give a shit, and you guys are taking it this seriously.

| How is it a presidential seal? Where does it say "president of the united states" on it? It's just a campaign seal. The center logo is the seal of U.S (which is the country he is running to lead). You guys act like if he wins, he's going to change the presidential seal. |
