So if you don't get the new channels, how do you get them.
Is my receiver too old and I have to buy a new one. Seems like a shitty move if I have to do that. |

I've got a feeling I'm about to get fucked and have to buy new equipment |

FYI - It took my radios almost a year to get fully updated. No one knows why. I have three units, a first generation Sportster that is over 5 years old, a Sportster 4 and a Stiletto 100 both about a year old. So, hang in there. They will update...eventually.

| I have a Starmate replay, about 3 years old and didn't have any problems with the updates. |

| Well after dealing with customer service 3 times, they decided to give me a new Sportster 5 w/ Boombox free of charge. So when the new one arrives I'll give the old one to my mom, since she doesn't like sports, she couldn't care about the channels that weren't added. |

I've had my stratus just under a year, 16 days to be exact. Around lunch today it went through about 5 channel updates before I could only get the phone number to subscribe. Called tech support, ran through possible solutions and nothing worked. She gave me the number to the warranty, told my story, and a replacement is on its way.
It sucks that it stopped working, but I sure thought customer service was helpful and efficient, contrary to several other accounts I've read on the web. |
