This is how I know this article is a joke...do you really read a blog called OpenLeft or just troll the interet for negative articles?

By the way, I -- I'm still trying to find two tickets to the Ohio State-USC game. And none of the USC people will give up their tickets to me. I'd pay fair price. They -- they know Ohio State's gonna slaughter the Trojans. They know that they're gonna slaughter the Trojans, and therefore they do not want me there at the bloodbath, since it's probably the last football game we'll ever get to see before the United States gets blown up by the Islamists under Obama. I -- I would like to see Ohio State slaughter USC. This is what I'm living for right now. I'm keeping -- all the bad news, I just focus on the Ohio State upcoming slaughter of USC.

Everyone knows the Ohio State football is a joke in big games and they are going to get creamed when they visit the Coliseum. The last 6 years have become extremely predicable...an AP Top 4 finish, a BCS bowl trip (5 wins), a Pac-10 title and an 11-win season. In fact, the Trojans are riding a streak of 6 consecutive AP Top 4 finishes (including national championships in 2003 and 2004) and BCS bowls (an NCAA record) and Pac-10 crowns (a league record) and 11-win seasons (also an NCAA record).

I get that it's a joke, but there's a little truth behind the humor. What's scarier is being liberal but seeing most like-minded people dismiss what is going on the the world because of their hatred for George Bush. Bush'll be gone soon, finally, but bin Laden and his growing legions of fans are still out there. And they don't give a shit that you voted for Kerry and watch Colbert. We pretend otherwise at our peril.

its easy to be socially conservative..i used to be one..all it takes is to be misinformed and/or lack to motivation to open your mind and seek out other forms of news besides the conservative main stream media

Look, I just don't want the government taking my money and giving it to fucking people that don't want to work. Less government, that is all. Obama wants to take my money and "insure" fucking half of the western hemisphere, dope addicts, homeless, the government cant even fix potholes

What Hugh Hewitt said is fact, the guy is someone the wingers listen to and he is literally thinking Obama will have the country blown up by jihadists. the link goes to a video of the nut job saying it.

Who are these people that don't want to work? How many of them are there, and is it worth punishing all of the working poor who rely on welfare?

It's like the bankruptcy bill. The right-wing spun it as a method to clamp down on those who run up their credit cards and file bankruptcy as a way to not pay it. Those cases represented about 1-2% of bankruptcies. Who it really hurt are families who are wiped out due to exorbitant medical bills. These cases represent the majority of bankruptcy filings. Maybe as many as half, I need a verification on that. But it's a significant number.

Please open your mind a bit. When something is proposed by the Republicans nowadays you always have to go beyond the reasons they give for it, and see who they plan to hurt this time.

Pres. Clinton authorized the assassination of Osama bin Laden. Ordered his murder, of course the Administration called off any attempt to actually kill him, but he did order it and got approved in his action by the Justice Department.

We were not 'at war' or whatever Lefties call this thing... and yet the President of the U.S. got permission to murder someone.

After 9/11 Bush can't even water board bin Laden. That is a crime. Very bad thing to do. The Justice Dept. very bad for perhaps hinting that he might be able to, maybe.

Murder under Clinton is OK.

Water boarding under Bush is a crime. After 9/11.

I will take the lesson from that that is actually real. It just matters if the Dems are in the Presidency. That determines what a crime is and what is OK.

I used to think this way.. when I was 18. Then I grew up.

Do you really think that after 8 years of spending like a 16 year old with daddy's Amex that the next President gets a blank slate?
The next President, no matter who he is, will have to raise taxes to pay for this shit if we ever want the dollar to be worth anything again.

You want personal responsibillity, how about all of you people who voted for Bush volunteer to give the federal government a llittle bit extra when you file your taxes for the sole purpose of debt reduction? Worry about yourself before you worry about crackheads, etc....
