He was getting pissed at the 'Ack Ack' sound-bite, but during the Gilbert episode, they edited out all the 'Ack Ack's. Without the sound-bites, it wouldn't make sense what he was mad at.

Exactly. Also the other thing that was pissing him off was the "0.0" sound byte, which they would also have to cut out. That's the thing that he told Fred not to play again or he'd break his fingers. So the 2 funny things making him mad we would never hear.

Well it was mainly the "zero... point... zero" that got him so pissed, from what I remember.

But they'd probably end up cutting that drop out too.

They still put up two episodes for the day so it's not a matter of them doing less work, unless you count out all the editing out of sound effects they would've done for another ETM segment.

Another thing I'm noticing while watching the E! shows: all of Fred's SFX and music drops are intact. On the recent 1996 Birthday shows that HTV released, not only is all the music gone but every single second of interaction between Howard and his then wife, Alison. In the crowd and on stage with Piscopo and Kimberly.

It is completely unacceptable for HTV to be editing out Alison Stern from the history of the show, no matter what the reason - legal or not - work it out.

You're right, it was "0.0", but they'd cut that too.

I find Fred's drops to be one of the best part of the show, so having HTV cut them all out really takes away from the show.
