BUBBAPALOOZA
- Are you heading to AC? Have you gone to other ones?
- Why are you going? What are you expecting?
- Did you go cheap or are you full blown VIP seating?
BUBBA 199
- The fans always talk about Bubba having his own channel. Could the BRN pull it off?
- Are there enough Bubba fans to justify it or are we just kidding ourselves?
- Clearly there is the show, a replay, and a mastertape type deal that they could do but what else could they fill the channels with that people would want to hear? (The Prodg Wraup Show, Conspiracy Corner, Brent's Boot Camp, Nedly Mandingo, The Jabrone Hour, Super Mark Roundtable, Bubba Army, Home Shopping, etc)
EVOLUTION OF THE SHOW
-In 2006 we saw a lot of "shock" radio w/ strippers & porn stars. 2007 brought the Friday morning show & lots of stunts. 2008 is a lot of chatting & discussion of current events. Which incarnation of the show do you like more? What do you miss?
- Has Bubba being forced to tone down the stunts & cricket capers hurt the show? Has it made him realize he doesn't need them and helped the show?
- Do the stripper/porn stars bits translate well to radio or are they too visual?
- Do you like the political talk? Is it too much? Does it alienate some listeners? Are you at all surprised by Bubba's support of Obama?
- Does doing the AM show hurt the PM show? If Bubba had only the Sirius show to focus on, could the quality of the show reach new heights and be even better than it was in 2006 and 2007?
BUBBA'S ODDBALLS
- Bubba has collected an odd crew of regular callers on the show including B Fudd, CP Trav, Joe the Supermark, Attilla the Hen, etc not to mention the interns & back office staff. Who do you like/dislike?
- Do you feel Bubba's crew is too much like Howard's wackpack and maybe doesn't fit the show?
- Do you like the show better with screened or unscreened calls? Does it get too wacky sometimes?
- Tom the tree man gets dumped & may already be back. Who do you miss who used to do the show?
BUBBA O'REILLY
- Some people complain that Bubba's show has turned into one big sales pitch for Bubbapalooza & BTLS merch. Some go so far as to say it's the only reason he came back to Sirius. Does it bother you?
- Do you feel pressured to buy his stuff? Does it make you think twice about buying?
- What do you have?
BUBBA CLEM IN '09
- Bubba has said he'll definitely be back on Sirius next year with talks of really good meetings but he's also said it could happen with some "tweaking". Why the mixed signals? Is it up in the air, he’s already negotiating for a better deal, or just keeping is options open?
- What could these "tweaking" conditions be & does it matter to you?
- Bubba says he feels he can continue to do both shows. Do you feel he'll wear himself out eventually?
- Bubba is booking Bubbapalooza in to next year around the country. Do you take that as a good sign?
HOWARD/BUBBA CROSSOVER
- Howard never brand & bond with another show before & that certainly helped Bubba & crew, but some fans on both sides feel the need to attack the other show to make a positive point about the one they mark out for. What are the reasons behind that?
- Do Bubba fans do that because they feel secondary to Howard (his channels, his publicity, etc.)
- Are some Howard fans too closed minded to appreciate Bubba? |

CALLING INTO THE SHOW: When calling into the show, there's no need to give shout outs to SFN or your friends on SFN. We don't have a ton of time so please don't waste any of it. We already have topics setup. Please be a good caller and respond to the topics. Thanks 1-888-STERN-101
GETTING ON THE SHOW: Each week I start a roundtable brainstorming thread where the fans help build our topics and a listening thread where people discuss the show while it's happening. if you'd like to do the show, get in there and participate. Once you've been around for awhile and see how the show works, ask to be on and pick a open date. The schedule can be found here. We have 4 people on each show and I try to make at least one of them a brand new person who's never been on. You can make your requests here in the Super Fan Roundtable forum or you can email them here.
GUESTS OF THE SHOW: The show airs from the Sirius studios in NYC Times Square. It's on the 36th floor of the McGraw Hill building on the corner of 49th & 6th in studio 21. (Google MAP) Guests should be there at 6PM so we can do mic checks. The show goes live at 7PM. You can not bring any friends. our studio is very small and there's really no place for them. I'll need your full name in advance and you need to bring your ID for security. If I don't put you on the list and you don't have your ID, you will not be able to get in.
This is an office and you are expected to be on your best behavior. It's not some free for all party. You shouldn't do anything that you would do when stopping by the bank. You cannot bring alcohol, take off your clothes, make noise, or bother people. I know you are a Stern fan but we're not out at the bar. You need to be cool. Don't stop them and ask for an autograph or photo. Everytime one of you misbehaves, I get a new rule to follow.
You CAN NOT walk around Sirius. You will be escorted from the upstairs lobby to the studio and back out. Do not take it upon yourself to just walk around & check things out. Nobody is allowed to stop by other shows. DO NOT stop by Ferrall's studio under any circumstances even if you think it's OK. I've been told by management that it's not. If you'd like to be a guest on Ferrall, they need to put you on their guest list.
You may take photos in the studio but please do not take pictures in the halls or lobby.
DO NOT sign the wall.
All plugs must be approved in advance. If you are going to be on the show and you have something to plug, you need to let me know the day before. ANYONE WHO PLUGS A WEBSITE OR BUSINESS WITHOUT PERMISSION WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK. |
