...Case in point....the ETM meet and greet.
Even though I hate it, I understand why Fred's music drops aren't allowed for licensing reasons. However, HTV allowed the "0.0" Animal House drop but not the Mars Attacks "Ack Ack"
It bugs me that it seems so arbitrary.... |

It's probably random because they've used 'Hey Now' for years from Larry Sanders. It's possible they paid for unlimited use of Zero...Point...Zero from Universal since we made such a fuss over it. Doubt it though. |

I've noticed this a few times, and once again just the otherday... On the "daily show" of ETM where he goes nuts, when Steve Langford walks in, there's a very noticable pause as he's waiting for the "steve langford has a huge penis" jingle to finish, but you can't here the jingle playing.
Since there's no licensing issue with that one, I'm thinking that the audio recording isn't connected properly to what's being broadcast over the air - for one reason or another, intentionally or not. Clearly quality control isn't a big concern at HTV, otherwise they'd dub it in. |

| There is no rhyme or reason for anything HTV does. I remember on an episode with Crackhead Bob they put black tape all over every Jets logo he had (hat, shirt, etc.) but yet they show Artie's Yankees logos and all the logos on Jon Hein's sports shirts. Also they don't blur the "Continental Airlines" on Artie's favorite t-shirt, yet on the Wrap-up Show they blurred his t-shirt that had a construction company name on it. It's asinine. |

I saw that and they had the blur on his shirt but when he moved the blur didnt follow him it just stayed in the same place so you could see what the shirt said...lazy fucks |

that is weird, I remember them taping up Crackhead Bob's clothes. Now that I thik about it, Artie's clothes has logos all the time. And they don't cover his M&Ms or Hawaiin Punch. What are they doing over there at Howard TV? Maybe putting that black tape over Crackhead Bob made them feel important. |

| quick question about this episode. my local comcast has this show in the daily shows catergory but is only in HD. I was wondering if those out there viewing this episode are viewing it in HD, or standard format? I have had nothing but issues with my provider the past few weeks and want to give myself some chance to get this fixed, even though they act like I'm fuckin stupid and don't know what I'm talking about. So if you have it in standard let me know and I'll call them again tomorrow and raise fuckin hell. |

Its in standard dude. I get the HD category and anything shown in HD is also available in standard. The person at your cable company is giving you a line of crap. |

And another thing for people in this situation. If it is worth it to you to deal with these cable morons (its not anymore to me) they should at least give you credit for the days you dont receive shows. They never were able to fix a damn thing for me but almost always gave me a credit on my account for HTV. If you are calling make sure at the very least they give you money back they rightfully should. |

| I think it has to do with engineering and how they produce their sounds. Not all of it is picked up by HTV or they don't want to edit for sound. |

I'm 99% sure the problem isn't anything accidental like that...

On a recent old E! show (Bologna Toss) where they had covered up the mayonnaise jar label, Howard asked Doug why that was the case, he said he didn't think they would want to be associated with this sort of show. Paraphrasing. This shows the lengths that Doug won't go to for legal purposes. He didn't even make the phone call. He assumed disgust. I guarantee that still goes on today. They do as little as possible. Make as little effort as they can. Fortunately for them, no one's watching who cares enough to sue.
I wish Amy Barraclough were back in charge. She's the one who handled the rights and clearances for the E! channel and of course tons of music and clips were flying over the airways back then. |

haha I just watched that last night actually...
that's weird how they attached the hemhorroid contest as a "bonus episode" -- wasn't that just on by itself too? |

Yeah, it was odd to have it attached. I've seen them piggy-back shows like that in other sections of InDemand before where people pay but not in the HS section. Probably an error.
I had to skip that bonus episode as I was eating at the time. That is not a good combo. :puke: |

Bullshit. We've talked about this. Doug doesn't know his ass from his elbow. |

Watching Stump The Booey right now and the lack of the song clips really ruins the "Game" aspect of the episode.

Another thing I don't understand.....
I'm watching the Artie apology show and when Steve Langford gives the phone number for Howard 100 news tips, they beep it out.
What's that about? |
