unless you are 40 and over. same with Caddyshack. its like an 80 year old loving the little rascals. If you showed that movie to a packed theater of people under age 35 there would barely be a cracked smile let alone actual laughter. its middle of the road nostalgic stuff that people of a certain generation like but it does not even come close to standing the test of time. "zero point zero" - its not remotely funny at all.

thats part of the Stern show decline - the gang used to be a bit youthful for their actual age.....now 20 years later they havent grown and still love crap like Sam Kinison impressions, Bruce Springsteen (yuck, vanilla middle aged nonsense) and Animal House.

im glad i opted out of Sirius.

Animal House has aged reasonably well. It's a funny movie. Today's alleged comedy (endless Will Ferrell crap, etc) doesn't require even a whiff of intelligence to enjoy, so a late 70s movie about events in the early 60s may as well be in a foreign language to today's dumbfuck 20somethings.

i do that with howard and family guy. these 2 shows are NOTORIOUS for dropping obscure references or naming movies from 100 years ago i was never around for and i always get that movie and usually turns out to be a good decision cuz artie had some great movie picks.

3 regulars ages ranging from 25-40
and all the employees who ages range from 22-26

it was the employees idea to turn on the sound.

Fuck you, you shit head. I'm a teenager and I love Caddyshack, Animal House, Kinison, Sprinsgteen, and the Stern show. Your argument is invalid and I'm glad you no longer have Sirius. There's nothing funny in current culture. Today's Sam Kinison is Dane Cook, why would Howard take him seriously? You've got to realize that back in the late 80s, early 90s, they all were young, and Kinison was hot. Now they are OLD and they don't care about current culture, so it's not a part of their show. And guess what? It's better that way.

Back To School is one of the greatest comedy movies of all time. Blows away any of today's movies. Finally we agree.

wedding crashers SUCKED. SWINGERS was funny tho.

Naked Gun was another great 80s movie. Along with Airplane. Leslie Neilson's greatness went on into the 90s even with Spy Hard. That's another great Ray Charles cameo. (He plays the bus driver!)
DalePie
I'm 25 and those are 2 of my favorite movies....

Im glad this was moved to the WGAS forum.....
