Ok, comparing the two forums. In general, the quality of poster at -- linkdisabled -- is better, in my opinion and my opinion only. A matter of personal opinion, impossible to prove. Since it is a much smaller forum, posting topics last longer, which I like-since I'm not on as much as some people choose to be.
If you happen to be involved in a quality thread, it lasts longer-as opposed to the Lounge, where so many people are posting so frequently that unless you really spend a lot of time on it, it rolls off pretty quickly.
And I like observing the drama. I've got no part or stake in it, but it is for me very entertaining. |

Disregarding the first part since you admit you can't prove it...
Basically, since you're not on much (lol), you just like spying on text conversations to and from a small sample size of people who you don't know, that go no where and develop very slowly.

Most of the events that led to -- linkdisabled -- being created happened when I wasn't a member or an active poster. I enjoy reading about it, but since I wasn't involved, it would be pretty arrogant of me to have any comment about it. But yes, I enjoy reading about iit, but 'spying' on public threads is kind of oxymoronic.
As to your other point, I don't think any of the threads here go anywhere, do they?
As to being 'on much', I kind of come and go based on work and the other stuff I do. I enjoy reading the threads and commenting on them. Right now, work is not very demanding and my teaching schedule is light. Once that picks up some, I'll probably be on less. |
