Just saw the highlights...didn't realize it was a blocked kick. Either way, I doubt they were gonna go for 2 and don't think the location of the ball played a huge role in the block.

| Terrible call. Prime example of the refs taking control of the game instead of letting the players play. They tie the game in the closing minutes and the guy was excited. Totally did not warrant a flag. Awful, those refs should be fined. |

i have to say that the oklahoma sooners against the oregon ducks 2 years ago was probably a bigger fuck up. when on replay you see that the sooners have the ball and that the ducks touched it before it even went 10 yards and yet still award the ducks the ball was absolute bullshit. |

He didn't HAVE to throw the flag...it was a judgement call and in the ref's eyes it warranted a penalty. It was simply a reaction by the ref to make that call, the same way it was a reaction by the QB to throw the ball in the air. I am not saying that either person was correct in their decision, but I am pretty sure if you ask both of them tomorrow they would both say they would do things differently...
Let me just add that I am a fan of celebration...the role emotion plays is one of the major things that I really love about football, but until they make a rule change in terms of what is allowed players have to be careful... |

Good. The sooner the failure is gone the better. That doesn't change the fact that the game was fixed because they wanted BYU and UCLA to both be ranked when they play next week. |
