Man, when Howard got all worried about what people thought about him exposing a girl selling her virginity he proved to me that he is past his prime. I am still a big Howard fan but sometimes I have to wonder. I hope he doesn't stay past the end of the contract so the talent that he built around himself can start to get the proper credit. (Bubba)
Also did anyone notice how prior to the merger certain show's got jockeyed from XM to Sirius and vice versa? The trucking channel on sirius used to rock. Now its on XM and Nascar is here. What.... I should pay extra for the one of three channels I ONLY used to listen to? I can't wait to see how they try to make more money off of us. If I could pay for the 3-4 channels I listen to only... they would know who should get paid and what to drop for damn sure.

NASCAR has been on Sirius for over two years now.
They left XM and signed up with Sirius long before any merger talk.
....and Sirius never lost the truckers channel.

No I'd say doing two shows a day one in the morning and one in the afternoon for a total of 8 hrs. on the air is "working his ass off." So if during that time the guy uses some tools like the MSNBC to kind of move things along and keep the conversation going I think it's understandable. Don't get me wrong I'm not a huge fan of his show by any means, but I respect the work ethic. |

I respect that he does two shows a day, but he gets a paycheck for both. He isn't doing the shows for charity, and those of us listening on Sirius pay a subscription fee to listen, so that is how I show how grateful I am to the guys. |

Midnight Trucking Radio was on Road Dog. Sirius did not want to negotiate with the show so they went back to XM. That was THeeee trucking show to listen to. This guy they have now doing the Loading Dock thing is a putz, not to mention he doesn't do the show live at night like Midnight Trucking Radio.
XM and Sirius have been talking for sure, longer than you think they have. I personally don't need Nascar channels, but would have been more than happy to keep Midnight Trucking Radio. They went to XM quitely one night with no warning, because Sirius at the time didn't want to pay.
I'm just saying 100, 101, Bubba 199, Midnight trucking, Fox and CNN News, and I'm good to go!

I was sympathetic when I read the thread title, but the comments about Howard are simply ignorant.
I'm not sure how you can say Howard's been mailing it in for the last two years when he is the one who started the fucking channel that Bubber is on. Which reminds me, you're not on the bubberfannetwork :D

I don't see the purpose of any hating -- If someone doesn't like Howard, it's not a big deal to skip past the show. If someone doesn't like Bubba, it's not a big deal to skp past the show. I really don't listen to much outside 100/101 and the music channels.
I guess I don't see the purpose of throwing the shit around.
But I do agree. The show has changed, but I think some of that was Bubba being forced to "clean up" his act so the merger could go through. A few weeks ago, we had two or three days of girls in the studio. This Friday, there's more girls. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
I didn't listen to Howard in the 80's and early 90's. I started listening in 98, when butt bongo/dial-a-date, etc. was on the way out. For one, the show wasn't in my area. Secondly, I was way too young, but I digress... For me, the 06-07 Bubba was what I assumed Howard to be like in the 80's and early 90's.
I, like many others, hope Bubba makes a return to the shenanigans. |

Most people would define success as an activity that is desired to be repeated and continued. Given that you no longer do your show, you either retired as an independent millionaire from the riches of internet radio or you failed miserably. So which one was it? BTW, most folks I know with an in-house studio were well funded, shitty musicians that ended up with their own studio to record their great music that other people "just don't get". |

Once again you have proved yourself wrong on both counts, this is becoming quite a pattern with you.
I know longer do the show because other aspects of my life ( 2 successful businesses, wife and child) dont allow me much free time, and the free time I do have I would rather spend it with them
As far as owning a recording studio, I do it for the love of music and since I can nolonger be in a band (because of the aforementioned responsibilities) I choose to engineer and master the music instead of create it. In regards to the people you know, I am sure in your back water existence, music about fucking your sister and having your wife leave with all of your power tools and the family dog is good but I prefer music that is alittle more relevant and current.

Actually I lay guitar, bass, piano, and drums. And sorry, after being in bands for over 12 years you kind of get tired of touring, and personality conflicts.
