Petey Arms
Johan Santana, Mets.....32%
Cole Hamels, Phillies.....12%
CC Sabathia, Brewers.....11%
Scott Kazmir, Rays.....10%
Billy Wagner, Mets.....8%

[Based on a survey of 449 MLB players]

FAST FACTS: Santana's 2.70 ERA through Sunday was second only to Cleveland's Cliff Lee's (2.28) among lefties; Lee was sixth in the poll (3.8%).... Sabathia was the top pick of lefthanded hitters, at 15.2%.... Aside from Wagner -- who underwent season-ending elbow surgery last week -- Colorado's Brian Fuentes and Toronto's B.J. Ryan (tied at 1.5%) were the only relievers in the top 10.

Doesn't matter when he's hitting over .400, unlike the Sox current left fielder. :)

The current Sox left fielder is doing just fine in case you haven't been paying attention.

What is better for you King your left or right?
FrostyG
Johan based on his entire career.

You Sox fans are hilarious. I mean Hideki was good last year and Lester has been good so far, but the toughest lefty, really? Little biased there?

How many more threads could you make about me? :hw:

Get to see both guys pitch tonight. They would get consideration for the Cy Young, but they don't have enough wins which is the most overrated stat for a pitcher in my opinion.

Totally agree A. Especially when you consider the Mets pen has blown 7 GAMES that Johan has given them the lead. Disgraceful.

well you're probably right to some extent but lester has the 2nd best era of all left handed starting pitchers in the al and okijima's baa is .226....so they're definitely worthy of consideration

most of them either don;t vote or vote for their friends or the player's name they recognize....a coaches/managers poll would be much more telling

Both got the win last night. Hate when people bring up he has this many wins vs. this guy. Era and whip tell how good a pitcher is. Stupid Yankee fans think Wang is great because he has 19 wins the past two years when he is a #3 starter at best.
