Not that I really care about the NHL, the NBA, Oprah or O&A (I don't), but what is the deal with upgrading to Sirius Everything with Best of XM?
1. Many Sirius radios (like my Xact XRT1) are not compatible with the Best of XM. Is there a definitive list of Sirius radios that can receive the Best of XM?
2. What is the cost of adding the Best of XM to a Lifetime Sub?
3. Does it cost anything more to add the Best of XM with one to three additional Sub receivers?
 |

All very good questions....
All of them are a little difficult to answer from our end.
We do know that any radio with an "older chipset" would not be compatible. It would be safe to say that any of the radios that are in the newer 5v Universal Plug n Play realm of radios would be safe so that's any of the portable units (s50 St10/100 and ST2), Sportsters 3 and up, Stratus models, and Starmate 3 models and up.
I read on theSirius website that it costs the same to add Best of FM to additional subscriptions which is $4 a month.
We are trying our best to get more details on the Best of and A La Carte packages. Hopefully this helps a little. |

Thanks for the info.
Since I have three Sirius radios, it would then cost me $144 a year (on top of my lifetime sub) to add the Best of XM -- absolutely none of which interests me (fortunately).
I cannot conceive of a worse deal. Even with MLB (which may cost even more) this makes no sense. I predict more XM subs getting the Best of Sirius (over Sirius subs getting the Best of XM) by at least 10 to 1!

| I am royally pissed off that I will not be able to subscribe to the 'Best of XM' package because of my obsolete sirius equipment. My cable company exchanged their older boxes for newer ones so I can view the updated channels. DishTV offers FREE apparatus to subscribers! It appears that being an XM subscriber with the 'Best of Sirius' will be a better package for consumers. At the least, sirius should offer a rebate for exchanged older equipment for the latest merchandise. |

I have the XACT Visor, so I would have needed new hardware for Sirius = Best of XM. My account renewal was in November, so I switched to XM, with best of Sirius.
All the XM hardware works, is fairly cheap (I got a SkyFi3), and there was a special pricing option that essentially gives me XM plus Best of Sirius for $13.02 a month. |

1st generation are pretty much not going to work.
2nd generation is a maybe.
We have a theory that if your Sirius Radio SID begins with or is higher than the number 011, there is a strong chance you might be able to get Best of XM |
