Today after I did the update I no longer had any sound. I have an in dash reciever hard wired to a pioneer deck. The other functions of the radio work fine (c.d. and radio), but when I switch to external, the display and everything reads like normal displaying the channel and program, but no sound. Is this a problem on their end or an equipment problem? Just wondering before I buy a new one.

I would a hard reset if you can. Basically disconnect any power going to the units and that will power cycle tuner and translator; like restarting your computer at the BSOD.
If that doesn't help you might try calling Sirius and having them resend the activation signal.

It's really weird that happened after an update. Updates are usually so volatile to break a part.

Good luck.

I agree, if none of the hardware was touched and the sound just went out after the update, then resetting everything should get you going again. I doubt anything permanent happened.
