Man, after seeing the XACT for $50 with both the car and home adapter, i almost bought it tonight w/ a year subscription. With the code, it would have been $202.
But, I don't like the look of the Xact unit. Does anybody have experience with the Sportster unit? Is it bulky? Is it user friendly? How was mounting it in your car?
I just like the look of it better. Somethings telling me to wait until mid next year because maybe there will be a new unit that will be even better. Plus, I want true walkman capabilities. Any thoughts? |

only selling point of the XACT is the walkman type availablity...
perdiod.
IMO...
all other units have more buttons for presets and bigger displays... |

| Yeah, that's exactly what i was thinking. If the Xact was truly portable (w/o the $100 + walkman setup), then i'd probably get that one. But, the others have bigger displays, more buttons, and seemingly more functionality. |

As I've said before, I've got the Xact and I love it. It's really not difficult to use, it's small and easily portable.
It'll just come down to personal preference, whatever strikes your eye. The most important thing is to GET ONE and start enjoying an amazing experience.
Once Howard gets there and if they ever did a Breakfast with the Beatles on Sirius, I may never, EVER turn on my AM/FM radio again. :D |

To be fair the XACT unit is pretty small and won't take up much real estate in your car. I have a cavalier and I need all the room I can get. There simply isnt enough room for a sportster in it unless I covered up my cupholders and theres no way I'd do that. As far as presets go I hear that the sportster is relatively easy to use for that even with only 9 buttons. |

| I think the XACT is a good unit not to bulky to have in ur car. But thats just my opinion. |

| It easily fits in your pocket when you leave the car and it's obtrusive in the house, hooked up to your stereo or sitting on a shelf while using FM Transmit. |

| My Xact is under the tree and my batterypack from the siriuswalkman is on my desk .... I am getting the unit today and we'll probably activate it later today. |

| I have the Sportster unit (Just opened it this morning! Merry Christmas for me!) and hooked it up this evening with the 2-year subscription. That little unit sure looks good and doesn't take up too much space. I have a Passat, so I have a little room to play with. |

| I have the XACT radio. The display is somewhat small. There are only 3 presets avail without having to change the band. What I do like is that it is smaller, therefore my display complaint is void, also, it is a vertical unit versus horizontal. It fits in the smallest spot next to my receiver, and the cup holder of my car. The sportster would hinder that. |
