DECATUR, Ga. (AP) -- Former Pro Bowl receiver Andre Rison was jailed Wednesday in DeKalb County for failure to pay child support.
Rison, 37, who spent 12 seasons with Indianapolis, Atlanta, Cleveland, Jacksonville, Green Bay, Kansas City and Oakland, was sentenced to jail until he pays $127,000 to a woman with whom he has two sons.
Rison, a five-time Pro Bowl selection who was MVP of the 1994 Pro Bowl, was sentenced to an additional 20 days in jail for violating a court order to pay $3,500-a-month child support for his 16-year-old and 18-year-old sons since August 2002.
The children's mother, Raycoa Handley, said in August that Rison has not seen or talked to his children in 2 1/2 years.
Rison last played in the NFL in 2000 with Oakland. He was suspended for four games in 2001 for a repeat violation of the league's substance abuse policy, and was out of football until he joined the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL this past August. |

I agree that the support is too high, but the fucktard has two children that he has not had any contact with in TWO YEARS
Making an attempt to pay the shit or trying to get it reduced to a lower amount is the way to go, but just not paying it is stupid.
He is where he belongs if only for neglecting to see his children. |

you are right. that was some crazy shit. he was also deon sanders boy when they both played for the falcons and they had some sort of falling out and started punching each other on the field when they played on opposite teams for the first time. they were just punching each other in the helmet like a couple of jag offs |

When he was with The Browns, I went to the Training Camp.. and his girlfriend Lefteye Lopez was hitting on me! I was just standing there, well we talked for like an hour and when Practice.. he came up to me and wanted to kick my ass. To me I was in shock because I wasn't doing shit, I told him.. I dont even think she was average I was just being nice. He flipped out and another had to hold him back.
It was pretty damn funny. he was getting madder & madder as I smiled as the other player was holding him.

It's not that it's high. Support is based on the amount both parents make and the percentage of time each parent spends with the child(ren). She'd get a lower amount if he even saw his kids one day a week. If he's not paying support he should sign his rights as a parent away but the mother probably wouldn't let him as it would eliminate her support "paychecks." |
