Either Peterson or Reggie Bush should have won. I would've voted for Peterson, but the fact is they were both underclassmen, and Leinart was the "number one quarterback" on the nations top ranked offense.

| white had better numbers than leinhart and played in a much tougher conference. but in my opinion peterson should have won. |
