Rob Dibble, former Reds reliever, was Dan Patrick's sidekeck on his afternoon ESPN radio show. He's been MIA for awhile now. Anybody know what happened to him?
Wahoolee
wasn't he about to get re-married recently? is he out for that?

Ron?

Rex.

Dan Patrick talked about it a few weeks ago. Dibbs' contract expired at the end of last december. ESPN decided not to re-new it so Dibbs went on to do other things, according to Dan. He wouldn't discuss what Dibbs was doing but said he was doing well. Personally, i think it's a big loss for the show. Rob Dibble was funny as hell, and added another side to every story. He was great on the show. Phil the show killer, isn't as funny.

I haven't bohered with the show that much since Dibbs left.

Thanks for the updates. I miss Dibbs too. He added that white trash element to the show. Showkiller sucks. He has that name for a reason. But Dan does need a sidekick. In the NY area, he's still better than Mike and the mad dog though. 5' 9, 150 (ding).

Where does the height and weight thing come from on that show? I hear it all the time but have never heard why it is done.

I couldn't agree more. Mike and the Mad Dog are okay, but when they start doing book reviews and movie reviews, I can't listen. The Dan Patrick show is funny and at least relatable. When Mike and Chris start talking about the civil war and American history, it's some of the worst radio.

BTW: I think i read somewhere that Dibbs is doing his own show on satelite radio. I don't know which company he works for though.

Dibble and Kevin Kennedy host a show on XM Radio ch. 175 between 6-9 a.m. M-F. I could be wrong on the times.

It is on 3 to 6 pm EST. I find it hard to listen to the Dan Patrick show since he left. I only catch it until 4 because that is when Jim Breuer Unleashed comes on 147 RawDog. That is a funny freakin show.

mike and the dog are going way downhill - ESPN Radio is actually sounding better lately. At least they changes the topics up a bit instead of baseball 24 hrs a day.

One of the funniest stories Dibbs told was back when he was in the minors, they would hook up with ugly chics and call them 'slump busters'.

Speaking of Mike and the mad dog, have you heard Joe Bonigno and Sid Rosenberg, who are on before them. They suck!! And do you remember Russ Salzberg who was on awhile back? He was the second worst of all time. The worst? Susan Waldman. Boston accent, Yankee ass kisser. Besides, I just can't stand women doing sports. It's just wrong. Unless they're topless.

Sid and Joe, on WFAN, are awful. The voices alone, drive me insane. Wally and the Keeg, on 1050, are a lot better. Different opinions, a variety of topics, and humorous at times. I thought ESPN radio sucked at first, but I'm starting to come around. They're not as condescending as Mike and the Mad Dog. They actually let callers have an opinion. The worst part about susan waldman, is that I have to listen to her and John Sterling do play-by-play for my beloved Yanks. What a fucking pair.
