Sirius had a lifetime offer (lifetime on the radio that is) that was up June 31....now it looks that it was extended through Jan 31...a month after Stern starts....good stuff... $500 bucks and done...if you compare the plans then you are making out ahead after 3 3/4 years.....

Check it out....

The only problem is it's for that radio only. I don't even like my cell phone after a year, let alone 4 years. In two years time you wanna know how much better these radios will be?

I'll bet in two years they'll have some sort of angle where you can "renew" your lifetime plan for more cash and transfer the subscription to a newer device.

I like to have a new cell phone every two or so years...you guys are right...what is the point of a lifetime offer (and yes I know it is about $).

In 5 years Sirius will get bought out by some company and that thing will be null and void. This is America. If it sounds too good to be true then it isn't.

I dont agree...Buy the lifetime for a home unit and it pays for itself. Each additional unit (car, spouse, etc...) is just 6 bucks more a month...even if your home unit craps out, you will still only pay 6 bucks a month for the additional units...not bad...2 for the prise of 1 (2 units at 6 bucks = 12, which is the monthly rate)....also, Blade, Tivo is still around after all these years, and they still honor the lifetime subs.... And even if they do get bought out, there would be a PR nightmare of ending lifetime sucbs...hey, the bottom line is since Howards contract is 5 years, why not get a year free? Thats my rationale....
