I NEED Sirius NOW!!!
I get shitty reception where I live, and spend at least two hours a day driving to and from work. So I think I'm ready to take the plunge. Who's with me?
This is the unit I'm looking at:

| ive been looking at a plug and pray model for 99 bux at best buy. has a built in fm tuner to allow u to listen on any empty fm station...home docking kit is 49 bux, with rca outs to hook into your stereo. with all the "insider" info leading folks like me to think that we will be stern-less after labor day, i am wondering if he may end up on sirius earlier, or should i hold out till christmas....decisons decisions :scratch: |

Dude, $90 for a LIFETIME subscription! How could you pass that up? Even with a baby on the way , you could afford that easily and be hooked to Howard forever. Sounds like a no-brainer. |

| anyone who is still on the fence about sirius is a cheap fool. ive had it since december and have not listened to a CD or terrestrial radio in my car since....even without howard there its a good deal at double the price, fucking amazing music selections. shit, right now im listening to some live Widespread Panic on the jam-on hippie channel, later ill be listening to some obsucre pink floyd or zepplin on "the vault" at 7pm eastern on "jam on" is the exclusive release of a phish concert from nassau colloseum. area 63 is amazing if you like trance and progressive house....margaritaville is great for those backyard partys with a cooler of beer and a grill fired up, not to mention every buffet show is broadcast live....i dunno, anyone who hasnt experienced it just doesnt know....you have nothing to compare it to. take the plunge, its so fucking worth it. howard is just the icing on the cake, hell, at this point id keep it even if he never came to sirius, its that good. stop being cheap asses and just go get it, its more than worth it |

i would go for the plug & pray model like i mentioned. the dock attaches to the dash with suction cups so it can be removed so it wouldnt fuck up the leased cars radio at all

on the other hand...the alpine unit is fucking sick...it can control my ipod (without that shitty fm modulation), and it takes sirius!! I ordered off ebay, and should hopefully have it installed this time next week.

| well, i went and ordered the sirius starmate from best buy. i also got the home kit and will see how it works using the built in fm modulator. if that doesnt cut it, then maybe a new head unit with an aux in so i can run it wired....looking forward to some good toons and football till howie shows up |

My two cents here in using the starmate or replay in the car...If you have an older car like mine with just a cassette deck, just buy one of those cassette adapters for about $15 bux and connect it to the line-out of the sirius unit. It will sound much better than FM modulation.
