I'm looking on getting this Sirius-ready head unit http://www.clarion.com/usa/products...a/VRX755VD.html I've decided on this one because it does everything I need it to do. Play dvds, Ipod interface, and Sirius Satellite.
My question is, can I listen to satellite from this receiver or would i need a seperate satellite tuner? What else do I need to purchase?
Any advice would help out immensely.
Thanks and Gravitas! |

Yeah, We, Color Match Antenna just started carrying the Clarion Sirius Stuff on our site. I picked up a Clarion Headunit for myself and got the SIRCL2 tuner to access the Sirius part of it. It Connects from the Clarion to the Clarion Sirius Tuner using a CeNet cable and it shouldn't be too complicated. Just make sure you get the stuff from a Clarion Dealer to make sure if anything goes wrong you can go back and get it straightened out.
But the Kind of Headunit you got with that sort of Ipod interface is friggin stellar. So many people by an Ipod Interface and it so much work to operate. Yours will make it so much better.
I'm excited to get my HU setup. There are big pros and cons using the Sirius Headunits vs. the Sirius Plug and Play Units. |

i can tell, as a user of a sony head unit that was able to hack a hide-away XM tuner chassis, it has been a great choice.
only downside is that i have the same exact head unit in another car, and everytime i have to swap that tuner chassis out, it's a pain.
but then again, controlling it from the head unit, vs a PnP unit is cool.
too bad i can only see 8 chars at a time... :( |
