Howard Stern fans will be able to access vintage, uncensored segments from the shock jock’s weekday radio show as part of a new $9.95 SVOD package from In Demand.

that link wans you to be registered to see the rest. is that gonna be the monthly price?

Incidentally, I don't plan to subscribe to this. I see Howard as a radio performer and I really don't care to see the radio show on TV that much. Sure it is fun sometimes, especially when they have hot chicks on, but there is lots of free porn out there if I want to be titilated. I rarely watched the E! show because I had already heard it on the radio.

Sure there are some priceless moments to see from time to time, but I'm not spending $120 a year to see them.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I have Dish Network and not sure how VOD works.

So for 10 bucks a month, youll get the daily Stern shows or whenever he has the new stuff and free reign over the archives or do you have to pay seperate for each title.

Basically for 10 bucks you get anything you want at any time?
cid?
"Hot chick" shows on E were boring. I can't wait for the hsow to be on In Demand. There's gonna be lots of other content, BESIDES the show daily.

this service won't be available on any satellite system. you have to have cable.

why is howard still doing commercials for "dish network"?
mikeh77
Yeah I know, im planning to switch but im making sure exactly how much its going to be and what Ill be getting.
morrissey
I'm not going to pay for this, but for those who are, would you still order this if they put commercials in it?

Anyone who hates hot chicks on the show isn't honest about bone-smuggling....:funny:

Well On demand already has commercials for all the channels its just that you can fast forward them so it isnt bad. And its usually only one promoting the real channel ...

Ill probably buy it, atleast the first month to see the Roast ... a $10 trail ain't bad.

And don't believe that every E! show is going to be available, etc. etc. I bet they add a few each month to keep people interested and there will never be anything approaching "every" show on there. Howard likes to "exaggerate" quite a bit when promoting his projects...he's always done this.

I think they would like to. . .but to go back and re-edit over 2000 E! SHOWS is asking a bit much. . .I'm sure the best of the best will be on there though. . .:tu:

You're probably right. Ive never ordered a real on demand channel but do have time warner dig cable and get free on demand channels and theyre very limited in selection but I figured it because they were free ... I hope we get atleast decent selection like 50-100 shows at our fingertips at all times.

They better make shows longer than half an hour ... since theres no time limit they need to worry about they better not fit really good shows into 30 minutes. I hated that with the E show ... id hear it on the radio then theyd only show boring shitty parts sometimes and leave out the best/funniest shit. They forced showing the interviews too much even bad ones.

It takes time and money to edit old E! shows, and the money will be coming out of Howard's pocket. If the InDemand thing is a huge success and the money pours in, then maybe he will devote some resources to re-editing the older E! shows, but if it is just a marginal success or a failure, he won't want to spend the money to improve the channel much.

is that right? i just assumed that since howard was doing dish network ads now, they must have in demand as well....guess not.

well - shouldn't be surprised. a few months ago he was doing live napster ads (which were anti ipod) and now he's back to singing the praises of the ipod

$9.95 ain that bad. I know WWE on demand is like $12-15+ a month

Im pretty sure it will be listed as On-Demand and not In-Demand
