I think the 'Howard100News' should not only focus on Howard Stern and cast but should also spotlight on off color news that no one else would report on in depth.
For instance Howard100 could interview the guy that butt banged his dog (which later died from internal injuries) or the mother who was arrested for sleeping with her sons. Also Howard’s news could bring attention to important political subjects and such that are relevant to us all but are not being reported on by the main stream media for some reason. For example:

In addition, Howard100 could approach senators, fcc people and the religious right who are killing free speech, with hard hitting ambush style interviews. These people seem to believe that they don’t have to answer to anyone except themselves and their cronies so it would be captivating to finally hear a news establishment confront these crooked dick shits with some justice.
I think Howard100 can really become a force to reckon with in the established news world if it re-creates itself as more of a rogue/crusade/guerilla style media outlet reporting on larger issues, that devotes time to Stern matters as well. Humorous and light one minute, heavy earth moving headline shit the next. Like it's Stern's view of the world. Uh …… Wow! Anyway that’s my 2 cents. Hope it can help ‘Howard100News’ become an even better production. Shalom bitches.

| I think its a good idea. Howard's news should broaden its horizons and become a little bit more legitimate while still doing the goofy stuff at times. The impact they could make could b beyond anything even Howard imagined if they do so. |

To have everything centered solely on the stern show and cast will get old fast especially because most of it is recycled material. There’s some funny shit that should stay like the Yucko the clown interview and the Elliott Offen coverage but there are also bits like the ‘high pitch craptacular’, that should be heard on a separate show entirely. A stern ‘sideshow’ that has nothing to do with news. Howard has a few channels that he has to fill with 24 hrs a day 7 days a week worth of programming so there would be room. As the news stands right now, it’s mostly just a leftover rehashing of the morning show and things Howard can cover on his own broadcast once he gets on satellite. Howard100news will sound even more repetitive at that point if it continues reporting the same type of info it has been thus far. I believe there should still be strictly stern stories but it's clear dedicating the entire newscast to that is overkill.
By the way, why does anything that is even remotely significant or of a serious manna’ considered political? Reporting the truth isn’t political. The type of news mentioned in this post isn’t reported anywhere else, so it should almost be done on howard100news for that reason alone. Besides, bum rushing the FCC and the religious right is a way to hold those people, who are trying abolish free speech and remove stern from the radio, accountable for the first time. Isn’t that especially relevant to you and everyone else here? If you really didn’t care about stern or free speech, you wouldn’t be on this board in the first place. I know those who value their civil freedom, the millions of fans and even stern himself would benefit greatly some kind of legitimate force was watching Howard’s back for once. This has nothing to do with politics but has everything to do with standing up for your rights. Howard100news should live up to its full potential and take complete advantage of the opportunity given to them.
Even if you don’t like the serious stuff, the suggestion about interviewing the guy who butt fucked his dog and similar news is a good one. That shit would be funny as hell and stern fans would not be able to tear themselves away from the radio. What the fuck was going through that dudes mind? How long did the sex last? Does he have a preference for a certain breed of dog? Did he bang to completion? Let’s find out at howard100news. Good times :D.

Just following up with a segment that appeared on Howard's show would be good. So one lesbo seduces a non lesbo chick and initiates her into lesboism, which is the ulitmate story that never gets old, Howard100 news could then follow up and get the lesbo annihilator to recount all of her lesbo seductions and edit for the best. That would have to be a plum assigment.
Romo plugs his book on Howard's show, Howard100 can go to the book signing to see what his wife was wearing and if anyone insulted Romo, etc. |

| The media dynasty that Howard is creating is grounded firmly in entertainment, not public service. Howard is growing and expanding his comedy brand, just like SECOND CITY, NATIONAL LAMPOON and SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE before him. (Do not under-estimate the importance of the In Demand deal and the original show, short and movie content he'll be creating there.) Howard's defining the sensibility of and building the infrastructure for something that could last for a long time after he's personally off the air. Think big. He is. |

I noticed lots of people believing the thread post is suggesting the news go all serious. Though, that wasn’t the statement that was made. The idea is that they just mix in some stories that are more substantial in nature at times and/or report more unique news. That couldn’t hurt, as news with a Howard spin would never be boring. Similar to when Robin reads the news with the humor sprinkled in, even when it’s serious, it keeps your attention and is just as entertaining as the funny news. Not to mention that Howard will still have 23 hrs of humorous/hot material surrounding the news each day. So why anyone would be opposed to having only one hour a day where something of a more serious/original nature might be mentioned for a few minutes is beyond me. See no evil hear no evil…thriving on keeping your head in the sand probably. I mean its gettin to be re god damn diculous. Especially when it’s news that isn’t reported anywhere else! Not on CNN, not on fox, not on c-span…no where!
Summing up ‘howard100news’ thus far; there was 45 minutes of an hour show dedicated to high pitch shitting himself after there was 24 hour previous coverage of that same thing. Sal knocks over some carts, which they go on to talk about on Howard’s regular show ad naseum with those involved. It was somewhat interesting the first time around. Then ‘howardnews’ follows up with a 30 minute interview on the same subject with the same culprits again. All about knocking over some god damn carts! No longer interesting. If you want to hear several more years of that type of mind numbing, redundant material… be my guest. I’m going to pass on that and over time many more will do the same. On satellite, Howard’s morning show is going to replay twice a day with no commercials so it will be even more content full. With that in mind, a recap/expansion of the show, which is all howard100news is now, will become monotonous and border on irrelevancy.
Listen up ‘howard100news’…branch out or fizzle out. The show won’t last the way it is now. Expand beyond the stern world into a bigger one and grab the whole world by the balls. Talk about thinking big. |
