I just purchased the boombox to use at my work. It won't pick up the satellite signal at all. Is there any other kind of antenna I can get that is stronger? The nearest window is about 10 feet from my desk.

Try facing the unit towards the window. There is a kind of antennae you can get that has a super long (maybe 15 or 20 feet) cord that you can run and place near a window and it'll get reception.

I have the same problem at work. I have the Sportster Replay or whatever and the home kit has the little antennae to run but I still have a hard time getting reception in my work building.

Don't leave the antenna attached to the box. Run it to the window try and angle upwards at 45 degrees so it is clearing any overhang and pointed toward the sky.

You can purchase the SIR-6 outdoor antenna but you will likely run into the same problem unless you mount it outside.

I just saw your message, sorry for not responding before now. I assume your questions about the Sportster and boombox are already answered. The unit can work inside if you are in a large city as most have repeaters. A smaller town w/o repeaters can be tricky. Lets start off with the easy questions. What city are you in and what direction does the window near your office face?
