With regards to CD players for your car, like JVC or Kenwood, do you need one of these to get Sirius in your car? I don't understand the importance of this - is it a necessity? I am looking at getting the Sportster boombox, would I have to run something from the receiver (once I get the car cradle) into the back of a Sirius ready CD player?
Sorry so many questions, thanks. |

You will need to add on a tuner box for SIRIUS to work. They are generally $99. A lot of them are called SIRIUSConnect Tuners.
They make them for
-Pioneer
-JVC
-Kenwood
-Clarion
-Eclipse
-Alpine
Some headunits give you more station and song info than others.
You will have to connect the SIRIUS tuner to the headunit and install the antenna that comes with the tuner. Then call and activate it. The tuners are not huge and generally hide behind the radio but sometimes under a seat or in the trunk.

The Cd player/ Tuner is the best way to go if your in your car a lot
They dont feed off of a radio station so you dont get the bleed through of local stations |

| The display is horrible! You will only get about 8 characters, so u will never really get to see whats actually on. Trust me i had the option to get the tuner as well, but i opped for the Sportster replay |
