The problem with the KOABlacks and possibly the other future hosts is that they are not talkshow hosts. What they need to do is listen to the different talkshow genre. Not just Howard, but folks like Art Bell and George Noory on Coast to Coast AM where topics range from UFOs, ghosts, conspiracy theories (Art Bell loves listening to Howard, he said it on his show), to political shows like Rush Limbaugh and Air America and not just listen to what they say but the way they say it. Top of the hour IMHO, King was doing OK, but after the first break, when he spoke, he would slow down, like he lost a lot of steam. The future hosts need to listen and not just to the topics but the way the hosts presents it too. King if you or any other hosts are reading this, listen to the way these hosts present their show.
Yes, they are from Clear Channel and Howard detests them, but why are they successful? Because they know how to speak. What do Emperor Hirohito, Adolf Hitler, Mao Tse Tung and other fascist leaders have in common? Not what they've said but the way they said it. If Jim Jones could get a bunch of his followers to drink the Kool-Aid, then you know he got his point across by the way he's spoke it. Hell, Jesus christ did the same too...if you believe in Him. If you want to stick to an Infinity station listen then to KLSX and sign up for their shows and listen to the live Streams. Then and only then will you do well on Howard 100 |
