Viacom Shareholders Can Sue Viacom for Howard's Precious Tapes - Click HERE to go to the original thread with graphics

The failure of Viacom to negotiate in good faith with Howard ($40MM?) for the sale or use of 20 years of Howard Stern tapes (thereby rendering them worthless to either party) is a "waste of corporate assets " and makes the Board of Directors personally liable under principles of state corporate law.

Any Stern fan owning one or more shares of Viacom stock can sue Viacom to force them not to waste their valuable Stern assets.

Any class action lawyers out there who want to take on this case?

THIS SUBJECT MUST BE EXPLORED BY HOWARD 100 NEWS!!!!

Excellent point. Joel Hollander's ego cannot pre-empt the interests of the shareholders, the shareholders would want Infinity's share of Howard's archive of old shows earning money for them and Joel Hollander seems to be putting his own ego ahead of the interests of the shareholders....time for some investigation followed by action.

Trust me the tapes WILL come out

Get a rabid class action lawsuit lawyer on this right away, should be good for a few mil and Joel Hollander will be publicly humiliated.

Also, look out for the annual shareholder's meeting, it might be coming up soon so this is the time you attend the meeting and ask a question from the floor, "Why are the Stern tapes not being currently used to generate income and do you realize Mr. Hollander that with only a five year contract at Sirius there is only a specific window of opportunity to generate some income from these tapes?

Mr. Boots:

Since you have an inside track to the show, could pass this idea along to Dominic Barbara (formerly "bloated attorney") and Howard 100 directly?

Thanks.

Can I purchase just one share of Infinity stock so I can join a class action suit against Infinity? Or is there a minimum number of shares you have to purchase?

You should check with a discount broker (Ameritrade, Scottrade, TDWaterhouse, etc) for their internal policies, but there is no reason why you should not be able to buy just one share at about $34.00.

Then you need to contact a class action lawyer who is a Stern Fan.

Try Googling "shareholder derivative class action attorney" or contact Dominick Barbara at 516-222-2333.

Good luck.

Any Luck with this, Derek?

Reminds me of the time one of our mailroom guys asked how he could get ahead in the company.

I told him to demand to speak with one of the senior VPs, and not to take no for an answer.

I don't think he's working here anymore.

No luck, yet. I havent called the bloated attorney's office yet, as I'm sure his rates are outrageously high to cover his steak-for-two-for-one eating binges.

While we're campaigning to get the rights to Howard's intellectual property freed up from Infinity, let's not forget about the Channel 9 show situation. WWOR's owners (Fox Television Stations, Inc.) really do need to do the right thing and negotiate a deal to license those shows to Howard. I plan on contacting them to tell them just that. Here's the info in case anyone else wants to do the same.

If Dominick is a stockholder too, I'm sure he'd do it for free or at least on a contingency arrangement, with Viacom ultimately footing the bill.
