I would've bought Howard's contract on October 7th, 2004 (the day after his Sirius announcement).
Viacom should've blocked him from going on CBS tv shows, (he wouldn't go on leno). If Viacom played it smart like this, Sirius would still be under 1 million subsribers
I don't blame them for throwing him off the air, but it is kinda weird that they do it right now with 24 shows left |

| i love howard and i think the suspension sucks but i have to admit that the show has been nonstop discussion of sirius, pretty painful to listen to. i just wish he would give us some real shows down the stretch. i think that the way howard ended todays show must have pissed off tom, his goodbye to vegas was filled with plugs and was filled with spin. anyway, i cant wait until he gets to sirius so we dont have to hear the infomercial anymore. |

This morning showed me just how powerful an influence Sirius can be in a day-to-day sense.
I was listening to the LA replay of the show and, when it went to commercials, I turned on H100 to catch up on what I missed last week. There it was, flashing across the screen, "Howard suspended ... Infinity yanks Howard Stern off the air ..."
A few minutes later, I heard the official word on the suspension -- again on H100.
It made me think that Cheapasano is planning to go to Infinity. What would they expect Howard to talk about, when Tom claims they could get fined for the repeated use of the term, "bitch" -- or in the context of saying "Good bye" to Vegas? Duh. Tom suspending the show is great news for Sirius.
The best ads thus far for Sirius have been the "Free radio" bullshit and clips of poor Adam Carolla's "highlights" (without Howard to react to he pretty much sucks) -- but tomorrow's suspension is bound to sell Sirius to those waiting another month or two for the holidaze.
The tools at Infinity/Viacom don't get it. Listeners won't be mad at Howard for the suspension any more than they blame Howard for Infinity yanking him off of Vegas air permanently. We're (most of us) smaht and recognize that the persons responsible are the suits. We'll vote with the dial, or in this case, media. Buh bye Viacom! |

I'm not shocked, Howard has been doing ads for months. Last week it became very bitter on both sides. This seems like nothing more then a pissing match. With Infinity showing its still has some muscles (at least for 29 more days). Howard did say last week he was going to cool down with the Sirius stuff and today he was back to normal. It sucks but in a month, I have my Sirius and ready to go.  |

I agree. This is too little too late. They really dropped the ball on this. Look at Opie and Anthony. They had to sit around for 2 years and by the time they got back no one remembered who they were and no one really cared they were back. They should never had let Howard stay for this last year. |

Supposedly the Stern was notified by K-rock General Manager Tom Chiusano after today's show that he was being suspended for Tuesday.
Howard 100 News is also saying that Stern is not willing to give Infinity any 'Best of Stern' tapes to play tomorrow morning while he's suspended. |

Get the home docking kit and you're gold. The biggest problem I had was setting up the antenna for a strong signal, but even that part was really easy. |

Depending on where in the country you are, SIRIUS suggests aiming your sattellite in a certain direction. What state to you live in?
I've found that straight up in the air works best for me... |

Howard Stern will be taking a rest on Tuesday, courtesy of his employers at Infinity Broadcasting Corp.
The “King of All Media” was suspended with pay for one day for talking too much about Sirius Satellite Radio, where he is moving his show in January. He has become an increasing annoyance for his current employer with seemingly nonstop promotion of the satellite service and diatribes against Infinity, a division of Viacom Inc.
“He’s been doing that a lot, and I’m sure he’ll continue to do it,” said a media buyer.
WXRK-FM, the flagship station for the Howard Stern Show, referred calls to Don Buchwald, Mr. Stern’s agent, who was traveling and could not be reached.
The one-day suspension was the inevitable result of the quandary Infinity has found itself in as it permits Mr. Stern to promote his upcoming Sirius show. Mr. Stern will launch two full-time channels on Sirius when he moves his morning show there in January.
Despite his promotion of the competition, Infinity has kept Mr. Stern on the air to take advantage of the premiums advertisers pay to appear on his show.
According to a radio insider, a “live read” on the Howard Stern Show -- in which the host promotes the product himself -- can cost as much as $5,000. Running a taped commercial on the show, as WXRK will do tomorrow, costs about half that.
Tomorrow morning, the shock jock’s fans will hear a “best of” the Howard Stern Show on WXRK-FM and in the more than 20 markets around the country where the show still airs. |

Doesnt Mr. Hollander realize that because of his bad faith, a lot of Howard's fans are going to contact Infinity's 2006 sponsors and tell them they are boycotting their products? Anyone who still has Infinity stock now should sell it, because Infinity will be the next Enron. |
