I'm looking forward to the Sam Kinison special tonight. He was such a great guest whenever he was on with Howard.
I was lucky enough to see him perform several times in the 80's and got to meet him briefly once.
I saw Craig Gass perform last weekend and his Sam impression brought back memories. I'll never forget how funny Sam was.

ive been listening to the SHOW for about the last five years so i know about sam and have heard older shows with sam on, but ive never heard his standup before.

That was great. Interspersing interviews of Jessica, Malika, Jackie Martling, Brenner, etc. with Sam's uncensored standup was a good way to present him to the people who never listened to his act before. Sam was a genius. Too bad we couldn't hear from Howard, Bill Kinison, or Carl LaBove.
To the people who have only heard Sam on old Stern shows, get your hands on his HBO special or his appearance on Rodney Dangerfield's Young Comedians Special. Those are what introduced him to the world. |

| I think I heard Howard recently mention, not sure because it was very quick, that Kinnison was able to go up on stage and make up his act on the spot. Is that true, did Kinnison actually ever do that? |
