Mutt
There will be a superfan round table discussion tonight after the news and I've been asked to contribute.

I'm not sure what the topics are or who all is involved, but here's what I know. I heard on last nights H100 news that it's going to be hosted by John Hines from Jump The Shark. There are four super fans two of which are me & Ralph. Anyone know who the other 2 are? I believe it's going to be live because I was asked to be there at 6pm and it airs at 7pm.

Howard just told Ralph not to F this up and Zolar called in wanting to be involved. It sounds like its going to be a work in progress and how cool is it that I'll be involved with the first one.

It's supposed to be like the McLaughlin Group and the only thing I know about that show is the Dana Carvey skit from Saturday Night Live. :)

I'm really excited to be part of this. Be sure to listen

UPDATE : Photos fromt he night are up

You deserve it Mutt. Shulie asked if any of us yesterday if we lived in N.Y. so they could start having the round tables in the studio in stead of on the phone. Have a good time tonight and I'll be listening
Mutt

On MarksFriggin he said he was asked but couldn't make it in to the City.

I'm sure hoping that SUPER ANNOYING "superfan" Kim, (that is on the news alot), isn't one of them, she acts like shes Mrs. Howard Stern and knows everything about everything. Yesterday she was an expert on Ralph - and was totally obnoxious, don't know if she's on SFN, since they don't mention her screen name.

I'll pray she doesn't live in New York! Good luck Mutt, can't wait to hear you! You so deserve all the great attention you've been getting for the site and now Howard's finally paying attention!

Congrats!! You deserve this so much.

Kim's doing a good job. I think she may be on SFN, otherwise where would they find her? :)

That's way cool, Mutt! Congrats! Howard is trying out lots of super fans...those who have been guests on the Show AND those who are "just" outside fans. I am really glad that you'll, hopefully, get some direct kudos from Howard on tomorrow's Show. You deserve it SO much! Have fun!

Rountable was great! Awesome job Mutt and the gang. Was it my reception or did the audio cut out for a sec right when they introduced Mutt? John Hein did a great job hosting it, way better than Ralph would have done.

SUPERFAN ROUNDTABLE IS A HIT!!!!

HOWARD HIMSELF SAID IT WAS A "10" !!!!!!

WAY TO GO!!!!!!

HOWARD WANTS A WEEKLY SHOW!!!!!!!!!
queenofallmedia
Congrats to Mutt and everyone else who did the show! Howard seems pleased!!!

I'd love to call in to something like this, GREAT JOB! :D
Mutt
Ralph was actually really nice. Plus he offered up the yeger and anyone offering a drink is OK in my book. He knew who I was and SFN yesterday. It was a pleasure to do the show with him. I don't know what was up with the "who's Mutt?" but I did rag on him a little after the show about saying shit like "I think whatever Howard thinks is good" instead of giving us his opinion so maybe I rubbed him the wrong way. I was goofin with the guy, but at the same time I think Ralph was a great part of the show and needed to always give his opinion if it's going to work. nobody wants to hear an hour of, I think Howard will figure it out.

He gave props to the site and particularly liked our logo. He wanted to know who designed it. Since it was me and he's the would be designer, I was a little flattered. He doesn't exactly get the message board idea and would like to see more of a chat room. I explained how with this many people a chatroom would be totally crap, but a moderated chat with show people is something I've always wanted to setup.

John Hines from dunk the shark did a great job. He's gotta job in my opinion. He was a natural and crack a couple good jokes on the fly. He's going to grow right into that part as moderator.

it was alot of fun and I hope I'm asked to be involved again. Several Sirius people walked in and said, Which one of you is Mutt? They were all so nice and it was fun to put a face to the people I've been talking to.

When I walked in last night, security almost threw me out of the building. I was drinking a beer and the hall monitor freaked out. it was like I was chewing gum in school. he's like you can't come in here with that. you need to go back out on the street and throw that out. I was already on the he 36th floor and went threw the 20min security line downstairs. WTF? go downstairs and throw out my beer? what a dick.

I tired talking photos but was asked not to. During our roundtable it was fine, but I was told not to sneak into Howard's area. I wish I could have brought you all pics, but it's a no no. Since security was already pissed about the beer, I figured I better be good. The guys were int he working though. Construction really is going on into the night.
Mutt
getting off the elevator. the dick security guard is right behind me
Mutt
here's the view of Howard's section from the Sirius front desk. I didn't dare go any closer. if you look close, you can see guys working in there behind the scaffolding
Mutt
this is the room we did the round table in. it's a sound proof glass room. a portable round table was setup with microphone and headphones around it. there's a glass booth behind it where the Sirius guys made shit happen, screen calls, and kept reminding us to talk into the mic.
Mutt
Here's Tony the screaming fag. Hiding behind him is Shuli and walking throe the door is John from Sirius. He's one of the deep voice announcers you hear on the H100 News. I also met Liz and Michelle who you would know from air. Tim stopped in to wish us all luck as well. Everyone was damn cool. A couple other people came in to say hi. I wasn't introduced but got the distinct impression that they were the big wigs.
Mutt
Ralph and BoBo sitting around the table before the show
Mutt
Here's Jeff preparing for the show. I was the only one without a pen and pad taking notes. Now Jeff needed it, but what was everyone else writing?
Mutt
Jason was there taking pics for www.HowardStern.com

they also filmed the roundtable for on demand. I didn't know we'd be seen. I shoudl have got a hair cut. :)
Mutt
here's BoBo's facial hair that Ralph was talking about this morning
Mutt
big thanks to Shuli for making me feel comfortable and saving me from security.
Jokiefan
Impressive looking studios there Mutt. Holy fuck they've dropped some major coin in that joint.
puddle duck
mutt, nice job last night, and also for showing us these pictures. it's cool to see the place that we are listening to every night.

by the way, the paper cup is the best looking thing in this picture by a long shot...
The Butler
Awesome job last night Mutt. I so wanted to get to this thread while the show was on. You're right about John, other than calling this the "SuperFanNetwork" he did a great job keeping things moving and not letting everyone talk over each other. Good luck with the server upgrade. This place is getting hammered.
Al_Czervik
awesome pics!!!! who's bottle of jager is that"?

Awesome thread and Awesome pictures Mutt! Congrats, you deserve it and you posting these pics is tits. GRAVITAS Uncle Mutt:rock:

Great job Mutt!!! I hope this turns in to a regular gif for ya!!
Mutt
man, Ralph is going to wind up hating me. Hey Ralph, don't get me kicked off the show!!

I was just interviewed to get my feedback from last nights show and they wanted to know what we could do to make it better. Only thing I could think of was for us to stop worrying about hurting peoples feelings and actually state opinions. The real McGlocklin group works because those people aren't concerned if the person they are talking about gets mad or will like them. They just cut to the point and tell it how it is, good or bad. I used Ralph as an example because even though he has real strong opinions when it comes to everyone else, if it was about Howard, he just had Howard's back. there's no place for yes men in a critique / debate show. it shouldn't just be a love fest. I love Howard too, but they want opinions and not "whatever Howard decides will be the right answer." I think that Howard wants our feedback. I'm not saying he needs it, but maybe he wants to hear it. He setup this show for some reason.

Considering Ralph has Howard's ear, I probably shooting myself in the foot. but hey, thats how I feel. it will be tough to talk against my friends, but they are looking for constructive criticism so I'm going to give it.

it wasn't easy going against everyone to point out that robin talks over Howard's interviews. hell, I don't want robin to think I don't like her. she's great and I'm a fan. I run this site and it's very important to me that everyone from the show likes us. it's just this one thing that I see that both me & the fans don't like. if the fans are saying that Howard's being whiny about something, I'm going to say it even if it's not the popular answer. If something bombs, I'll relay the message. if I'm asked back, I'm going to not just state my opinions, but address it as what I've gathered from the fans here on SFN. I hope I'm given the chance because I love the Stern Show and all the freaks associated with it
Carnival Man
Michelle just called me...I think Ralph is going to hate me too! :D

I also mentioned you were great Mutt, but I didn't know if it would be good to have the same people each week...Including Ralph! :p
NWSternGirl
I was called this morning, too. They wanted to interview me about last night's roundtable. However, I woke up with laryngitis. I just knew they'd call today...lol. Oh well...next time. :D
Mutt
now this is just me talking, but I have no problem with both ralph & I every week with different guests to fill the remaining slots. he's the voice of the show, I'm the voice of the fans. maybe I'm crazy, but it works for me. :)
jms397
They called me today and I suggested that they rotate a couple of the chairs every week. I would keep Jon Hein, Ralph, and Mutt every week and rotate the other two spots with fans from SFN.

I also suggested that they bring on some Stern haters to expose them for what they are. Don't let them just come on and bash Howard, but let them speak and then let the fans respond and point out how the haters are so obsessed with Howard that they listen as much as the fans.

The best part of the Show has been the exhibition of mental illness, and the more of that the better.
The Butler
No worries Mutt. How many times has Howard said "we need to take a break" and Robin butts in and the segment lasts for 5 more minutes? I enjoy Robin too, but sometimes you have to call it like you see it. Nobody wants to hear nothing but "yes men" on a roundtable.

I thought that was one of your most effective points, Mutt.

Robin interrupts and sometimes talks too much but we still love her and she's an irreplaceable part of the show chemistry.

The dynamic between Howard and Robin, whether during a guest interview or discussing personal or current events, has always reminded me of a long time married couple, where the wife doesn't think twice about interrupting or finishing the husband's sentences for him, but balanced so that the husband isn't pussywhipped into silence and takes back the lead.

After all, Robin's interruptions are responsible for some interviews' most compelling revelations. Two minds are better than one.
Mutt
Kimba & YoBob road up with me. they went bar hoping while I was upstairs. Now I know that they probably could have come in and chilled at those pub tables. We wound up at Carmines in Times Square for antipasto & drinks afterwards.

<Listening to the replay right now... ;)

The show was awesome but Ralph annoys the crap outta me. On today's show he was already getting a balloon head.....
Cathead©
The reason you didn't get a straight answer from Ralph is because he's not a super fan. He's a super douche if anything. Yes, he has Howard's ear but most of the time he tells Howard just what Howard wants to hear. He shouldn't even be involved with something like this. He can't be critical of anything. Mutt did a great job and I wouldn't mind at all if he had a slot on the panel each week. Ralph is a kiss ass and needs to be put out of his misery.
JoeyBoots
great pics mutt......bobo's upper lip and head hair is disturbing.
JohnnyLongBone
great job Mutt, the comments about Robin show that you see the dynamic she brings...love her or not, we know the King loves her. so be it. as for your being liked or not i can say for myself that i like what you do for us 'fans', SIRIUS, and the SHOW itself. your efforts are much appreciated and i think you make a fine represinitive for us all.
kudos!

The show was very good... It sounds like Artie wants to get in on the roundtable too....Now that would really kick ass! Keep up the good work Mutt and keep the pics coming! L8R -FLWS

Great show Mutt... I'm glad Howard gave you major props. You were awesome and made some killer points. I hope you're a regular on "The Superfan Roundtable".

Thanks for the pics... it's great to see "The Holyland!"
Mutt
I know ralph isn't a super fan, but I feel he's needed. like it or not, he's got howard's opinion or close to it and it's sort of like having someone on the inside. he's very vocal & opinionated about lots of show issues. even if he does default to howard occasionally, I'd like to see him be a permanent part of the panel. he kept the convo going, was witty, and sounded good on air. not only that, he brings controversy to the show and give people a reason to discuss it or call in.
