I was just listening to Howard 100 News from yesterday. They played a crank call HPE did claiming to be mickey mouse calling disney. I know I heard that on the show
I keep hearing them say on the show how they would be losing everything. On yesterdays show in fact, they played Beets song saying that might be the last time its heard.
Whats the Deal?? |

That clip was not recorded or produced by Infinity broadcasting.
The Beetlejuice songs and live performances were produced by and for Infinity broadcasting.
It's the same reason they played the Yucko prank to Gary awhile ago. |

| Maybe Joel will decide to do what it right and give Howard his material. It would be a great parting gift. |

Nice idea but it NEVER will happen. Joel might sell them but give his competition hours of programming? Imagine how great it would be to have Classic Stern unedited, no dumps, etc. as a programming option on Sirius. |

| I can see a fire sale in about a year. When DLR's ratings are in the toilet and Joel is being threatened with removal, he might cut Howard a sweetheart deal. That way he can point to a steady stream of revenue and additional promotion while trying to find some talent that can save his job. That should give him an extra six months or so. |

That will never happen. Joel wants a king's ransom for the tapes because he knows with 3 stations to program Howard could basically turn one into a Classic Stern Station with all his old shows and use it to boost the competition. A one time sale is not an effective revenue stream.
The tapes serve no real purpose for Infinity but their bitterness over Howard's departure will likely mean that audio will never see the light of day. |
