The idea is to make Howard 100 News sound like "straight news", like WINS all news channel (yes on AM) in New York, and, I am sure, in a city near you.
The staff is, by an large, a group with decades of experience doing the news. One of the anchors (George Flowers or Ralph Howard) actually came out of retirement to do this gig!
The humor comes from the tension of these seasoned professionals doing story-after-story about Crapathons, Tissue Time, "facial" treatments, etc., then interviewing doctors, professors and psychiatrists about these rather earthly topics.
This is all "right on the mark" and truly brilliant entertainment. Sorry you don't agree, but the best is yet to come. |

I think, for the most part, the Howard 100 News team does a fine job. There's on male reporter (not one of the main anchors) who over-writes and leans on cliches, metaphors amd alliteration way too much. He tries way too hard and his stuff suffers. I think Ralph Howard and George Flowers do the best job of walking the line.
I do NOT get Mojo Nixon. His southern--fried redneck schtick is clearly at odds with Howard's New York sensibility. For the same reason, I'm not sure I'm going to respond well to Bubba the Love Sponge, but I'll give him a chance.
I have given Mojo a chance and I think he's a bad fit. Different aesthetics. |

Yes, I know it's supposed to mock AM...but mocking AM radio is not necessarily funny. And it's not that creative. What would be creative (and more funny) is to get comedians or Yucko to do the news. Yes kinda like the Daily Show, but there's an f'n reason why most of us go to the Daily Show for our news instead of listening to the rest of the dicks that do news...IT'S F'n FUNNY!!! AND ITS NEWS!

I can't believe people are actually complaining about the Howard 100 News. I think its great and its just so funny to hear these award winning reporters who have been in the business for years report on High Pitch Erik, or Wendy the Retard, and the other daily stuff from the show. Thats the whole point of the channel.
If someone can't get that, then they should probably not be listening to the channel. Come on now.

I agree Totally MUFFDIVER . I never expected anything from Sirius and Howard till January . I look at all this coverage as a huge bonus. I Think they are way above all expectations .
