Because I send them in and they send something back 5 weeks later saying I missed writing in a piece of information and by then I have no idea what the rebate was for anyway.

Or I just never get the rebate and I don't care enough to file shit like that away.

Give me the discount now or I'm not buying it.

thats the game they love to play with us though..its the whole point of offering them..they are taking a gamble that they won't have to pay most of them out so it makes financial sense for them to offer a $100 rebate versus giving a $25 discount...i always make photocopies of rebate forms and keep them in a file..i have only had a problem with a rebate once and i was able to clear it up because i had copies of everything..

i would have made a fine jew

The people that can't afford sirius are not buying CD's numb nuts. They download the music they want, just like they will download HIS show.

Moot point. Circuit City online (800-number) says they will not offer rainchecks and they are out of these. All stores within driving distance are sold out, too. Can't order online, can't have it shipped, can't pick it up at a store, no rainchecks. They are out, so they say. This was a TG special only. They will, however, email you notice of when they are back in stock (at the new price). Well, it was a good deal if you were fast enough.

BTW, for the person that asked about reception/quality... if you check the website, there are customer reviews. <Doesn't anyone look up information on their own, anymore? :) >

Between the On Demand content and all the Sirius programming, those downloaders are gonna be some busy mofos. And if they decide to save any of it, the storage space needed is gonna be rediculous.
j3ff
The circuitcity in Milford CT has about 20 left. :)

I went out and picked up two and a boombox. Make sure you use cash if you are getting more than one. If you use credit they will have all your info and only give you one rebate, and use different addresses too.

Oh please.....storage space? I have a 500 meg drive i got for 10 bucks just waiting to store stuff.

Also, with technology the way it is, it is pretty damn simple to record ANYTHING and save it......thanks to yousend it, it's even simple to send to others :)
j3ff
BY THE WAY, usually on xmas day they offer activation for FREE.

500 megs? Look at you, you high roller! You should just invest in a CD Burner and burn 600+ MB CDs.

I have a nice 300 GB external so I think I'll be okay when it comes to space.
j3ff
damn I meant 500 GIGs :)

And with all the free blank dvd's I got yesterday I could probably back up every post on this place :) including their files.

I didn't know that, but I do know it's only 5 bucks to activate on line..
That Circuit Dity deal is a great one for this weekend only and like someone said earlier most locations are out and they are not taking rain checks.
Anopther good deal this weekend is at radio shack for the Sportster unit and car kit is 25.00 after the 50 dollar rebate and the home docking kit is half off now 25.00. So for a net of 50 bucks you get the car and home kits... Not free but damn close and the Sportster is a good unit.

Actually, yes. I bought one that was posted here on SFN. Someone posted an amazon link to a Seagate 300GB, and yes, I used their link to order it. :)

I'm gonna pick mine up tomorrow at the store on 80th and Broadway. They say they will hold it for 14 days.

They fucking better. 80th and Broadway isn't exactly convenient for me.

500 gig drive for ten bucks, how did you get that?
j3ff
basically - I'm a big jew - and I don't care if what I did was dishonest, so everyone please spare the lectures.

I saw a deal where a bunch of guys just like me were talking about how you go to Compusa at 12 pm, you sign up for AOL for 12 months (give them a bad zipcode and spell your last name wrong on the sign up) and then they HAND you a 250 dollar gift card and you walk away. I used that to buy the 500 gig hard drive :) And since most of what I signed up with was fake info...... (address, phone number)....and nobody checked it over when i submitted it....it's aol has no idea who i am.

The reason it worked was because compusa had ONE girl working that AOL signup counter, and the deal had been posted well in advance. :)
jerseywolfe
