| I am fortunate enough to be provided a car with my job. Unfortunately I cannot alter, in any way, this vehicle. Meaning I cannot install an exterior Sirius antenna. I was searching Google and saw a new type of antenna called the SIGMA. It is an interior antenna mounted up by the visor. It looks like you can only purchase it thru oem auto manufacturers right now. Does anyone have any experience with this antenna. Would I be better off trying to lay the antenna that comes with my Sportster Replay on the dash next to the window and see what type of reception I can pull in before looking to see where I can purchase one of these Sigmas? There is one up for bid on Ebay and states it is for single pin connector only. I do not own a receiver yet so I don't know whether this would work or not. Thanks for any advise. |

Most Sirius car antennas just have a magnet and you attach the antenna on the roof with the magnet and the cable going out thru the window. Then you take it down at the end of the day. It's not a permanent attachment that would harm the company car. If they don't allow you to do that, even if it's non-invasive, then just put it inside the car on the dashboard. Just be aware that the signal is much stronger in most cities when the antenna is outside and weaker inside the car because the windshield glass weakens the signal. At the end, whatever you do, you need to have a clear direct line-of-sight path to the skies(unless you live in a big metro city where they have more ground repeaters).
Good luck and enjoy! |

| Thanks boombox. I had no idea they are magnetic. I just assumed they had an adhesive pad that stayed stuck to the car. |

| Some do come with adhesive. Just make sure the receiver you get has a magnetic antenna. |

It's not bad at all. They are a bit hard to find, but I think you can get them at some online Nissan parts dealers. It works in cars with a good slanted windshield.
I think placing the DOT Micro Antenna in the dash will work just about as well. |
