...if that pilfering, lisping, berryface, mooching, faggot Ralph is going to constantly be on it. He IS NOT a superfan and I wish Howard would get that thru that fucking thick head of his. [/I]

I agree and have expressed this in numerous posts and threads. He is an employee not a superfan!!

Ralph is ok, I think Ronnie is a more annoying bastard

Hate ralph all you want, but his perspective on the show is generally in line with what I'm thinking. Think back to his comments on shows like KOAB & Angry Black. He was spot on. I think he has been pretty on target on the roundtable.

I like Ralph's opinions but, he need to sit out a few weeks. At least we should hear a show without him to see how much different it would be. We heard him too many time this morning anyway.

I like ralph but have him on every other show or something...

He's the Charles Nelson Reilly of Roundtable - the inside man. And hey, he's one of the few not under contract with Viacom.

It is the "Super Fan Roundtable". Maybe employees and affiliates should not be on? Would it be as good if someone from the show is there? I think that it would become an extension of the show, not a discusion of it.

I agree. However...having Ralph on the Roundtable every week would be like having Beth O on every week. Sure, we dig Beth, she's close to Howard and that makes her interesting...but she's never going to have a pure perspective. Her opionion will always be skewed because of her proximity to Howard. Beth's biased and that compromises her value as a regular panelist. Same with Ralph. His perespective is never going to be pure. He can only be so objective.

Worse, we always know what Ralph is going to say even before he says...which makes for predictable radio. I don't listen to Howard 100 to hear predictable radio.

I like Ralph on the show, but not every week.
MrJeff2000
What about if the "insider" slot rotated around people like Ralph, Beth O, and Brian Phelan and others who worked on the E! show
kali
believe me, folks, once dec 16th passes, sal, richard, etc will end up one by one on the roundtable.
just relax, it's only the beginning!

 You lost me...I thought you were gonna say that Ralph is like Charles Nelson Reilly because they're both flaming homos. Here's Chuck's critique of Ralph on the Superfan Roundtable:

I'm with you. Plus, the personality of the show insider will undoubtedly influence the overall vibe of the round table. If you're going to have insiders we must mix them up: Gary and Artie. Not Ralph every time - its cute to hear about how he loves to be hated once but on every show - no thanks. I actually stopped listening because of this issue. Having a different insider would add variety.

Maybe there should just be a show without an insider - get a stronger from the first few to be sure to keep the show moving and introduce a mix.
royalflush1973
Gary and Artie can't be on the show until Jan. 1, but I do agree that Ralph is too much of an insider to be on the panel. What would be great is if on Fridays of a few days in the week they can have a contest to be a guest on the show, not just people who live in the area. No offense to Joey Boots or some of the other regulars, but people from other parts of the country. The Roundtable needs a sponsor to help with that. I think Joey Boots does a good job and respects the show which makes him a good person on the show. Some of the other like Bong Hit, Ralph and I can't think of any others kinda spoil the spirit of the show. That's my opinion

Good point about the show not being able to have staff members.
They probably will have them on more often later.

But once again, i agree on the Ralph front.
jerlewis
Well, if anyone remembers, Howard said it would not be good to have staff members on the panel because of the fact that it is for fans, not insiders - I think Ralph may be a bit of a hybrid of the two because he was a fan at one point but now he is on the inside.
