i didn't want to say this, because i support gilbert, but since you asked.. his standup DVD is absolutely horrible. at least it doesn't fit my taste.
his stand-up act is like jackie's, you tell a series of jokes like you're reading a dirty joke book. it's not like a conversation, it's just unrelated joke after another. i just don't like that old fashioned style (except mitch hedberg). with that said the jokes just weren't funny. i turned off the dvd 7 minutes into it. |

| That's too bad, his act must have changed. I remember his HBO One Night Stand from the early 90's being pretty good. It was more story based, not a series of one liners. |
