| I haven't really been able to find a station yet but does anyone know if there is a grunge station on Sirius? I'm still waiting on my "welcome package" and station guide from them to come in the mail. It's been 30 days! Oh well. Thanks if anyone knows of one, or even a station that plays a fair amount of the good grunge bands. |

Yes, there the grunge channel (by definition) is 20, read the examples of things you will hear there. |

Thanks for the tip.
That station seems to play more of the crap grunge or imposter grunge though. I'm thinking more along the lines of the real stuff. The old 1980's and 1990's stuff. Violent Femmes, Green River, the Fastbacks, Bad Brains, the Melvins, Pixies, and the Jesus & Mary Chain type stuff. And of course Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, STP, etc. The Godsmacks, Silverchairs, and Creeds don't do it for me. And don't get me started on those idiots Linkin Park. The other that drives me nuts is this song that has the lyrics, "We are the lazy generation." Yeah! You go! USSA, USA Co. Music rules!
So I guess I just have to spend a day on each of these stations to see if they play the old grunge stuff.
For what I'm looking for I'd rather get opinions from long time Sirius listeners. That channel guide doesn't help much but is handy for the other stations :) |

Nice! Thanks for the e-mail. I'll definitely use that many times :) I hope any other grunge fans help out! Let's get a grunge station.
I did listen to the #20 station today. They play some reall good stuff but then they throw in crap. It's like having commerical(ized music)s in between really great music :D Oh well it is better than what old fashioned radio offers in terms of grunge and the station is much better than nothing.
As for the rest of Sirius, this is in no way a complaint. I love it! Overall Sirius has awesome music choices and incredible news, sports and entertainment talk stations too. I love it! |
