I was listening to it today for a couple hours and when I went to take it off the kit, I noticed that it was quite warm. Any tips on how to keep the temperature in it down?
I'll probably be buying a small fan in the morning if I can find one.

Turn the brightness on the display down as much as you can.

Thanks. I'll see how that works.

Is that really what makes it run so hot??
Kablemodem
Keep it in a bucket of ice water.

Don't talk to it in a low sexy voice.

They run hot even if you turn down the brightness on the display. The XTR1 runs even hotter when it's in the Power Pod. I think that's just the way they are, although I'm concerned that they won't last as long as they might. In your house, you could turn a fan on it to keep it cool, but that won't work in your car.

Mine gets pretty hot in the home kit only (Clarion Calypso). I am thingking of getting a mini battery powered fan to keep it cool while I listen @ work.

you should see how hot the receiver gets in the boombox,so i just leave the boombox dock open instead of closing it,and it doesnt seem to get as hot.now i just hope the weight of the receiver doesnt wear down the cradle.
