I FINALLY got through tonight after trying since Thanksgiving and the dude that answered the phone asked me about who I thought had the best and worst revelation.He put me on hold and shortly after, because they went to break, the phone went dead.I screamed "FUUUUUCK!"
I redialed immediatly and to my surprise got through again.This time the topic changed and it was about Rev. Bob...
Well, I got the chance to congratulate Mutt for the new position as host and said that Rev Bob is a great addition to the show.

Mutt was a great host IMHO. I was a big fan of John Hein but Mutt came right in and seemed at home during his first show. He has a good energy and kept things moving. The roundtable is in great hands.
As far as the non-SFN panelists go, Christine was good as usual. She comes off as a true fan and should be a semi regular guest. KOAB was a little weak and seemed tentative to say anything even slightly negative. A little too much like Ralph in that respect.
As far as my fellow SFN members go, the had some good input. coldandugly, when he spoke, was a good panelist. kali was a little of the opposite and kind of annoyed me. Combine the fact that her voice made me cringe a little and the laugh was a little loud, she was not my radio "cup of tea." Don't get me wrong, kali was a good panelist and a great poster here. I would just rather read than hear what she was to say in the future. |

You finally got rid of Ralph, but you screwed the pooch with that stupid-ass song in the beginning.
You cannot tell me that you do not feel like a total fag singing that song. If you (or any of the crew) could actually sing, or if you could get a real singer like Mary-Ann to sing it, that might be different (but I doubt it).

if you heard alot of kali, it's becasue she kept just talking on her own instead of waiting for me to call on her like she was asked to do. everyone else was really good at signally me when they wanted to speak. bad kali. :)
If you didn't hear much of coldandugly, my bad. I had my back to him and could see when he was ready to chime in. I had some special mic that I need to speak directly into. I'm supposed to sound better, but it only worked if speaking directly into it. Next week they are going to give me a headset mic so I can look around without f-in up the sound. |

It was really exciting to hear you hosting Mutt. You sounded very comfortable and relaxed, even with the few small technical issues that came up.
Kali did kind of dominate some of the conversation, but not so much that it got annoying.
Her voice sorta reminds of some of the "Earth Mother" types that you would find at a Folk Festival.
Overall, it was a great first show with our man Mutt at the helm.

I feel for you on the Fridays' certificates. My family and I ate at the Fridays in Times Square over the Holidays and paid $70 dollars for 2 kids meal burgers (the waiter was nice enough to give my wife a kids meal), a kids pizza, and a regular burger for myself, not to mention $9 for a 16 oz draft Bud.
We were up on the 4th floor, stuck in the back next to a cracked mirror and a lovely view of a lighted sign next to a fire escape outside the window. The service was slow and my well done burger was raw. At least my beer was cold.
The guy next to us was really getting pissed. He sent his burger back twice while his wife ate her dinner. When we left, he was still stewing and waiting for his burger.
I didn't get pissed. I just sipped my beer and smiled. Gotta love NYC. :D |

| no we did call the cops. I don't know it was the tranny's but they were the only ones in our area that weren't part of our group. she canceled the check book so we'd really only out the gift certifs. ( $60 for Fridays, $50 for steak & hoagie factory, $10 for radio shack, and $80 for Hollywood video ) ironically, they were in kimmy purse because I didn't want to leave them in the jeep when I parked it. I'm hoping there isn't anything else missing out of her bag. whoever took the shit didn't want it to be obvious that her bag had been gone through. they left her wallet. and even though they took the gift card, they returned the envelope that they were in. |
