Wow, not bad for a post that was slapped together quickly. Mutt probably won't get to this tonight so you should write everything down, don't leave out one single detail, however trivial it may seem to you, and e-mail this stuff to The Show, I think you are on to something pretty strong here. |

i have some more ideas. should i rewrite these down again and email The Show? here they are
1. make a comment at the beginning of the show that maybe David Lee Roth is really the future of radio
2. :ok:
3. explain to the audience that they can't see the smileys
4. but if they could they would know the DLR thing was a joke
5. take a commercial break
6. physically remove ralph from the studio
7. ignore the superfans, and turn their microphones down
8. whisper into the mic how stupid everyone is that they think the're talking, but they're not

I agree. Definitely Danny. His lack of preparation leads to a fairly tame and boring show. I was surprised by this and I think Howard was too. When he dropped in on Danny's show he seemed concerned that he had nothing prepared, no bits ready, and no guests lined up. Howard takes his show prep very seriously and I don't think he was too comfortable with Danny's "I take calls" responses. I would love to hear the round tables thoughts on this. Maybe I'm just reading too much into nothing?

I think it would be interesting to hear everyone's take on Bubba's fan site.
I was shocked to see they want $5 to register. Howard has always laid in to the O'Reilly's and Limbaugh's for selling all kinds of crap and Bubba's not far from being as bad. |

Those are great questions,
-I think instead of Howard and the crew doing something crazy for 10 million subscribers, there goal should be to PASS XM in total subscribers, that to me would be a better reason to celebrate.
-Also the re-doing of the old K-rock Bits is a very interesting topic, I tend to think that it is better if Howard would just "let them go" and not try to re-create them, The older bits are each like works of "Comedic Art". That are extremely difficult to replace if you dont put your all into it.
I believe it is better to move on and focus on newer material, than try to go back and regain what is lost.
-I dont think Howard needs another nose job, he looks great for his age, I would quit while I was ahead.
-As for the Live performances for Musicians, It depends, they have to balance it out, In my opinion having Train do 5or6 songs throughout the day was a bit overkill, mainly because again they were just re-doing songs that they had done at K-rock, It would have been better if they didnt spend so much of the shows time re-doing covers to Led Zeppelin songs, because its been done before already once at K-Rock, then again at Las Vegas 04'. Its probably not the most popular opinion but im a fan of the show first, not necessarliy each musician who comes on as a guest.
-And yes, I Feel that we should have a New Miss Howard Stern to commemorate Howards New move to Sirius!! |

Please, oh please, don't ever let Bong-hit Eric be on the roundtable. That guy just sucks the life out of a room. His short term memory just leaves him saying that he doesn't remember this bit or that bit.
The one time I heard him on the round table, it was just so irritating, but not in a good way.
That said, you might want to discuss what you guys really think of Ralph. Not what you think Howard wants to hear, but what you guys really think. Particularly when he was calling all of the listeners dumbasses during and after his roast.

Definately, something equipment related,like the s50 home dock situation. Why did Sirius screw up so badly on supplying radio's at the holiday time? How will this hurt new subscriber's (as most people have probably spent their christmas dough already). Totally off topic, I have the s50 in my truck and it work's god damn great!!! |

About them doing radio forever and following their advice. Well this is a whole new arena where innovation is the key and trying new things can make the show better than even the people who've been doing it for years could have done.
Sometimes what the fans want can create a train wreck, other times giving them what they want will make for a great show and prove that someone on the other end of the radio is not only listening, but responding.
I know that you are not in a strong position right now and you don't want to rock the boat, but there are obvious changes that need to be made now to keep subscribers......... even loyal fans who love Howard can get fed up. |
