Would any one know of an adapter that would allow me to plug my sirius one radio into my home sockets? The radio comes with a car/cig lighter power cable.

I tried radio shack, but he couldn't understand the question.

Thanks for your help,
Cameron

Don't bother calling, just go down to your local Radio Shack and bring your radio to make sure you buy an adapter with the correct tip.

The tip needed for the SV1 is slightly smaller than avaerage, some adapters come with interchangeable tips, they give you 5 or 6.

All you need is a 12V DC Adapter that will provide at least 600mA. I say 600mA not because the spec sheet states this, but because the adapter I use provides 600mA and my SV1 has been working fine.

Maybe someone here knows the exact value, how much current the SV1 needs.

Thanks for the help!

I ran to RadioShack and bought a 12V/1,500 adapter and right now I'm listening to a slightly scratchy (I haven't found a good place for the antenna yet) Sirius One receiver in my home.

The help here was excellent and I can not wait to hear the new Stern Show for the first time on Monday...
