      My daughter just graduated from college at ASU, and she really got into doing stand up in an improv group that she joined while in school. Now, instead of medical school (her degree is in Bio-Genetics), she wants to "go Hollywood" (at least for awhile, to see if anything happens). She's been out to LA looking for writing, script work. Any ideas or websites she should be checking?

        That's a good question. I tried script-writing for a couple years and got nowhere. I think her best best is to find a good script agent or literary manager. I know it's not an easy line of work to break into! But I think if she gets a good agent on her side she could probably build up a body of work and get ahead. Back when I was tried it, we didn't have the online resources available to help out. I wish her luck!
